Treat: Your character and mine being sweet to one another
After spending so much time with him, Saki found him to be tolerable. This wasn’t affection, but rather, dependence. She spent a lot of time at his apartment, mainly because she would fill him on what the investigation team had been up to but even though she was helping him out he didn’t really need her did he? If he wanted to he could dispose of her, so why then did he keep her around? When Adachi opened the door to his apartment she smiled as she held something behind her back. “Uh, hey, Saki-chan. Aren’t you here a little early?” Adachi looked around, being especially wary of what she had been holding behind her back. “I figured I’d just stop by after school. Besides, it’s not like I want to go home. Oh, I brought you some food.” she revealed what she had been holding behind her back; a box of sushi. Last time he wasn’t so keen on eating the bento she made him but since she bought this maybe he’d be more accepting of it.
Even if it was store bought, Adachi seemed rather reluctant to take the box from her but he smiled anyway. “You didn’t have to Saki-chan… Thanks though. Oh uh… Come in.” he stepped aside for her to come, still looking around. Man, if anyone saw her here then they’d really start rumors about her. Well, whatever. It’s not like Adachi had been doing anything else, he figured he could try and make the best of it. Saki shut the door behind her and watched him set the sushi down on the counter before taking a seat in front of the TV as usual. Saki frowned though, he never seemed to want to eat the food she brought for him. After taking off her shoes she headed towards the counter picking up the box of sushi and sat down next to him. Opening the box she picked up a piece of sea urchin with a chopstick and held it out to him. “Open up!”
"Wh-what?" Adachi was surprised, seriously he wasn’t a child. Though it was kinda nice to see that she seemed to be so concerned for him. Could it be that Saki-chan had started to like him? "…Fine." he decided to play along. Saki smiled as Adachi ate the sushi she had fed him. "See? The food’s fine." she teased handing him the chopsticks. Adachi pouted, "Oh, you’re not going to feed me anymore?" he was teasing, but it was kinda cute that Saki wanted to take care of him. "Oh did you want me to take care of you?" she teased right back. "Nah." he ate another piece of sushi. "That’s what I thought.." Saki laughed. "But y’know I think it’s only fair that you get to experience the embarrassment I just had to endure." he picked up a piece with the chopsticks and offered it to Saki. "Your turn, Saki-chan."
Saki raised an eyebrow surprised that he was actually teasing her right back, “Adachi-san…” this really was ridiculous. Never would she imagine them in a situation like this. To be fair though, Saki accepted the sushi. Maybe he wasn’t so bad, but it didn’t change the fact that there was a murderous intent within this man. Maybe she wished things were different, Maybe they could be.
