If you asked Coyle, a woman had no place in the military. Women stayed home in the kitchen and tending to lil tikes waiting for the man to come home. That’s how it always was and how it always should be.
Having said that, however, Leland can’t deny the new “prime asset” is interesting. He starts by teasing her like some schoolboy. He pokes and prods and presses every one of her buttons looking for a reaction. It’s also how he tests out how dangerous she could possibly be.
As time goes on, he moves on from simple teasing and taunting. He starts challenging, even going so far as to invite her to participate with him. He wants her to want to prove herself to him. He tries to act like some drill sergeant or something, and he’s damn near obsessed when he pisses her off enough to earn himself a broken nose. None of Coyle’s wives had ever fought back like this before. No woman back hole was this strong and yet so well trained and resilient. It’s everything he could want; a woman that’s sexy to look at but can also snap back without shattering like glass after one argument.
