"Crimplene for Men", ICI fabric advert early 1970s. #1970s #crimplene #handlebarmoustache
Ad, Fashion - Diana Rigg and the EmmaPeeler (Full 4-pages) by Jim Via Flickr: Here's that Avenger girl, Diana Rigg, in the grooviest jumpsuit on your TV screen. Called the "Emmapeeler" -- after the character she plays -- it comes in eight colors and is made of a stretch fabric called Crimplene. T.B. Jones Ltd. of London is the maufacturer.
Polly Peck Doing their own thing!
Scanned from Vanity Fair 1972. Polly Peck with ‘Crimplene’. Left is style 27 about £10.55. Style 114, about £14.80. Shoes by Russell & Bromley, Bond Street. Polly Peck doing their own thing. It made me think of my mum who wore crimplene a lot! Has anyone even heard of it this century?
1970's Crimplene Flower Power Shift Dress
What an amazing job by Sallyanne. With just one yard of vintage 1970s crimplene fabric and using one of her grandmothers 1960s patterns, she has made this iconic shift dress, fully lined with lace edging too. It is so satisfying to see the fabric I have unearthed being put to such good use.
