The time I spend alone

Is oh so painful

No one here that understands

No one here that can help

So I’m always alone

Every time you’re gone

This loneliness is  painful

It only brings me tears

And I lay down at night

Whishing you were her

I love you oh so much

There is nothing to fear

I will still be waiting

When you finally appear

I would wait all night and day

I would wait year after year

And I would still be waiting

Till the earth disappeared

If you never showed up

I would still be here

Because I would wait forever

Just to be with you, my dear

To my favorite teacher

Whom I love to be around

You seem like a lovely flower

On a green grassy ground

With all your petals wide

And your stem nice and tall

I’d like you by my side

To help each other when we fall

And so I say farewell

Just for another day

I hope you shall stay swell

And be laughing on your way

I’ll see your greatness tomorrow

As happy as can be

And I hope you’ll have no sorrow

As soon as you see me

Anger Carries Me

I am like a pot of water over the fire or on the stove

Anger causing me to bubble and boil uncontrollably

To be able to cool off when the fire’s burnt out

My hatred of others because of anger

That knife slices through me

Full of spite, I reawaken

My rage as my sword

Frustration, my shield

The fear of what might happen swimming in my head

But the excitement of the battle is too great to ignore

The loneliness in my heart

The empty space

Filled with bitterness and apathy to the end

Time Somebody Told Me

Time somebody told me

That as I am just me

I’m as beautiful as can be

Though others may not see

It’s nice to hold me tight

To love with all their might

To make me happy all night

Time somebody told me

I don’t have to be new

Through skies of hope I flew

For what? To be able to love you.

Ode to Pencils

“Some people don’t understand

How important I can be,”

The pencil says to me

“It makes me rather sad.”

“Don’t worry

You’re very important to me,”

I says to the pencil

“I’ll use you rather well.”

“For what?” he askes;

“Writing of course

A place for my emotions to go

A place just perfect for me.”

Confusion

Confusion is the knife of depression

Slicing any in its path

Vengeful to the harm

That any has caused

Jealousy of what other can do

Rage at those of the happy

Confusion, screaming at others

Daring them to do something dramatic

Spite of those attention grabbers

The ones who’ll do anything

Their frustration nothing compared to mine

My apathy, their joy

Time to choose

Calm down

Or perish
