This Taco Grilled Cheese Sandwich is a tasty take on a classic favorite. It combines Mexican flavors with grilled cheese. It has fresh vegetables, melted cheese, seasoned ground beef, and is smashed between two pieces of crispy, buttery bread.
Ingredients: 2 slices of bread. 2 slices of cheddar cheese. 1/4 cup cooked ground beef seasoned with taco seasoning. 1/4 cup shredded lettuce. 1/4 cup diced tomatoes. 2 tablespoons diced onions. 2 tablespoons sliced black olives. 1/4 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese. 1 tablespoon butter.
Instructions: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, on the skillet. Layer one slice of cheddar cheese, cooked ground beef, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced onions, sliced black olives, and shredded Mexican blend cheese on top of the bread in the skillet. Top with the second slice of cheddar cheese and the other slice of bread, buttered side up. Cook until the bottom slice of bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes more. Remove from the skillet and let it cool slightly before serving.
