mmm because i dont have a very put together draft ill leave a little bit of my story notes :>
Namjoon gets up the next day, unenthusiastic about his new department. Still, he’s going to put his all into debunking these X-files. The first thing he notices about the office is its disorganization. Files everywhere, tapes, cameras and other types of evidence pinned haphazardly or stacked in boxes. Drawers are open and flooded all around the room. It’s chaos. The next thing he notices is you, a laid-back detective looking over a file whilst drinking chocolate milk with a microwaved ramen cup. “Hello?”
“Oh, hi! You must be Namjoon, right? My new partner.”
“Not for long…”
You two can get along, but can’t agree on most topics. You believe in Bigfoot, Namjoon thinks if he were real, he’d be caught by now. Especially when he recalls how most cases regarding the cryptid end up being hoaxes.
“We’re in the government, there’s no way you don’t know about cover-ups. Heck, day-to-day crimes get swept under the rug and disguised all the time for the sake of reputations. Why wouldn’t those Bigfoot confessions and evidence be cover-ups?”
Namjoon can’t deny that your arguments are pretty plausible. He checks over the file she’s reading, the first case they’ve been assigned as partners. Claimed haunting at an old house sometimes used as a venue. “Choi Mansion. Man named Min Yoongi swears it’s haunted.”
When they arrive, Namjoon’s unpleasantly surprised to see Seokjin and Taehyung’s excited faces already at the site. “What’re you guys doing here?” They’re decked out, and they have tons of supplies everywhere, having been at the crime scene for a couple of hours by now.
“We were contacted by the owners. Wait—is this one of your cases? Is this your partner?” Seokjin’s too ecstatic to meet you, and much to Namjoon’s dismay, you two get along perfectly. Even worse—you’ve decided to work together on the case.
“Are you even allowed to share this information with them?”
“Who’s gonna tell on me? It’s just you and I in this department.”
He’s going to tell. Probably. Maybe.
No, he won't. He doesn’t want you in trouble. He needs to debunk your work, or else they’ll just add someone else to the department.

You and Seungmin--along with a few others--are engineers. Naturally curious, you find it odd how the spacecraft you've been assigned to build seems to have flaws that have been ignored along with unsafe buildings and safety neglections that seem far too many to be a coincidence. Chan was like you, constantly curious, and he had a theory. A theory he wasn't able to share with you before he went missing. Now its up to you to find out what Chan wanted to tell you, and to find out what's really going on. All the while trying to convince Seungmin not to trust the very people who have you creating the spacecraft. (its a mess, ik, but this is the main bit ig lmao)
