31 for 31 2021 Day 17 Movie: Critters 3 Critters 3 was really disappointing for me. They took all the 80’s violence and campiness from the first two movies and nineties-ified it. They dumbed down the kills and amped up the cheesy fart jokes. A young Leonardo DiCaprio is in it and plays the stepson of a slum lord who is trying to evict the tenants of the shitty building he owns. Also, young Leo looks like this “Eddie Haskell” type kid I know. So he’s got that working against him….also Titanic, fuck Titanic!…sorry I have Post Titanic Stress Disorder 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️. The only thing this movie has going for it is that it follows Charlie McFadden the town drunk from the first movie. Then after some time off world, suddenly he’s a reformed intergalactic bounty Hunter. These hungry fury little monsters went from eating and destroying the farm to taking over the town as it's main course and now they're taking their hunger to the BIG City in Critters 3. This introduce to young Leonardo DiCaprio facing these little hungry critters and allying Charlie and his alien partner name Ug. This was my least favorite out of the Critters franchises and it was the same thing they eat and kill everyone but that didn't stop me from watching this film. I felt it was an underrated sequel and turn out to be an entertaining horror flick.
