i've been thinking about maybe forgetting posting it vaguely linearly and throwing parts from different arcs whenever i feel like it instead, since it's that damn flashback that got me stuck. i don't know if ppl will vibe with that tho, since i've posted most of what the timeline is supposed to be like it's probably fine/shouldn't be too confusing.

also the timing of this ask is great, i just drew that, inspired by a mom and her kid i saw on the bus today:

Crocodad AU Timeline.

An AU where Crocodile is Luffy's other bio dad and raise him as a single father. Timeline will be updated as more art comes.

I know he would never do this for dozens of different reasons but im laughing imagining croc rolling up to a warlord meeting with toddler luffy because the babysitter died or something and he just refuses to acknowledge hes got a child

Will you ever draw pre-transition Crocodile in your au? Just asking because I'm curious if you have a headcanon about what younger Crocodile looked like.

i already have, in that sketch with his crew! maybe it's too sketchy to tell and his coat cover so much of his body (on purpose! i like to think he got into the habit of wearing long coat to hide any curves) but this croc hadnt transitionned yet!

headcanon wise im not sure, i don't think he'd look that different, i draw him pretty much the same face wise, just younger. it's more about his behavior that ive got thoughts, i like the idea that having his dreams destroyed really messed him up.

Im laughing rn because i was reading your post about luffy’s hobbies and interests and i am think about what you said about croc giving luffy one of those containers of pinned bugs

And i just know it was one of those moments that croc felt super confident and good about his gift decision and that luffy would love it and the he is going to get a good grade in parenting today.

And for the briefest moment when luffy first sees the container thats what it seems like is going to happen.

Until luffy realizes the bugs are dead and he starts to cry (or at depending on the age at least getting upset) and croc just like ah shit i fucked up

For the Crocodad AU, what’s Luffy’s relationships with the other Warlords (both the original seven excluding Crocodile and the new ones, depending on how the story goes since Croc keeps his title in this AU) and if they know about Luffy, what are their opinions on him?

since he was isolated he’s only really know mihawk which whom he has a faux familial relationship with, it’s more one sided, luffy thinks of him as an uncle but mihawk as crocodile’s son who is his friend/coworker/drinking buddy if he gets lucky.

he doesn’t meet jinbei really but when he goes visit ace in impel down they kind of see each other since they’re in the same cell. they don’t speak directly, luffy forgets about him and jimbei decides he doesn’t want anything to do with crocodile’s business.

post timeskip he meets doflamingo (he had seen him once as a toddler, he doesn’t remember it but mingo does) he doesn’t like him at all, it’s mutual mingo’s end but he’s interested in the ways he could use him for his ends. put pressure won croc, use his prince status, that sort of things but luffy wants nothing to do with him.

law becomes a warlord like in canon and they do meet very briefly for that secret check up. the whole interaction is super tense because of croc and bonez standing there threateningly while luffy worries if another doctor is going to die because of him. law had heard rumors of a secret child because of mingo years ago, now that’s he’s official and has met him he’s intrigued and worried but doesn’t know whether or not he should do something about it since he has more pressing plans to deal with first.

boa and moria stay warlords, luffy doesn’t go with croc during the warlord meeting after the reverie so he doesn’t meet them. boa doesn’t read about the news so she doesn’t learn about him, moria and wonders who you could’ve gotten close enough to crocodile to have a child with him but doesn’t care about luffy himself. kuma never gets to learn about him and blackbeard is off somewhere doing whatever.

just wanna say I stumbled across your crocodad au and it is INCREDIBLE! it simultaneously makes me rubs my hands like a an evil scheming person and my heart sting. I love how you handled crocodile being transgender and how that affects his relationship to the people around him, especially Luffy. ALSO MY POOR BOY! HES GOING THROUGH IT!
