DUDELZ of the Damned | CROCstume
GREETINGS LIVING WEIRDOS OF TODAY AND ZOMBIES OF TOMORROW!
IT IS, DOCTOR CLARKENSTEIN!
All Hallow’s Eve has descended upon the small town of Clarksburg. Vampires, ghosts, monsters, aliens, and these are just the locals! They’re out in force along with all the children dressed in creepy costumes to score some sugary sweets. Now as anybody in town will tell you, there are two prime places to bag the biggest haul. First is Downtown, the entire street cordoned off as the small businesses that line the block hand out candy. Yet it’s the second spot that’s considered the best in town; Wonder Ziggy’s Drive-In Cinema! His Trunk or Treat party is the stuff of legends! Guests wandering the four lots are treated to king sized bars, lollipops bigger than their heads, free B-Movies rolling on loop, and for those brave enough to stick around after sunset, scary stories! Ziggy opens the floor to those who have a terrifying tale to tell. Being the weird bunch that they are, naturally there’s no shortage of spoopy stories from the Clarktoons. Here is one of them now depicted as a DUDEL of the Damned.
One year for Halloween, Alberta gave Bumper some advice: embrace your fears in order to conquer them. Thus every year the floating marshmallow dawns a familiar beige jumpsuit while going Trick or Treating with their friend Xena. There’s only one problem with that advice. Eventually whatever’s been scaring you loses its potency, or worst, something else comes along that’s far more frightening. What’s a ghost to do in this situation? Pick a new costume. In this case, something to remind Bumper that no matter how horrifying things get, there’s always somebody to help them stay brave. For after all, they’ve got a best buddy who eats boogeymen for breakfast.
This was yet another idea saved from an earlier year. Specifically one given to me by my friends. A discussion on Discord led to the idea of Bumper dressing up like Croc, though the exact specifics can’t be recalled. Hey, it’s been a while! Either way the idea didn’t necessarily go unused but instead repurposed for the DUDEL of Sarah’s little sister Girasol dressing like her prehistoric persona. One of my favorite eerie drawings from 2025, actually. Still, this sketch was too cute to pass up and is a perfect way to end the Halloween season. Here’s to all the ghouls who go out trick or treat, the zombies who stay at home passing out candy, or those who simply sit on the couch to watch Evil Dead for the 100th time. Be safe, have fun, and enjoy!
MAY THE GLASSES BE WITH YOU!
BONUS QUESTION; What’s something you do to feel brave?
