Cross Bronx
Filmography - Part 2
Part 1
The Cross Bronx #2
Art by: Michael Avon Oeming and Nick Filardi
from Cross Bronx #1 (September 2006)
The dull colors on the buildings set up a nice contrast for the bright gold of the badge. Also, I like pink and orange combinations in general, and the detective has that all over. All of the windows have fiery red light in them, but it's set back and subdued a bit.
Meanwhile, on the city streets in nighttime, she's got a number of blues working together against grays and purples. Very nice.
This issue features a collection of rejection letters Oeming received before he had this title accepted by Image. They show a number of supportive pros egging him on. They also show that everyone has to start somewhere.
Cross Bronx #1 (September 2006)
This was in the under-the-table bin at PS Books. They had issues one, two and three, but it's a four issue series. Blast!
