A bout of crosshatching practice that I think turned out really well. Pros to this piece are that I love all the textures, and that I think that hair is the best I’ve ever rendered hair. Cons is that I had to sacrifice accurately crosshatching/rendering the skin for the sake of clarity, which makes me feel uneasy about presenting this piece, as I know it would’ve been good to indicate her skin’s dark value through the lineart, as I did with everything else. If anyone has any tips on how to crosshatch skin, both in general, and to specifically represent dark-skinned people, please let me know. I’m always willing to improve.
