obsessed with kris using things the player can't see to communicate with other characters. drawing on the window in the diner. 80% as much honey on toast as usual. silly faces and nodding/shaking their head. changing the tone of what we make them say to make it clear that they mean it differently. i love that it's shown time and time again that kris ISN'T apathetic about anything. kris wants friends. kris has boundaries and wants mom to know that what she did made them feel bad. kris wants the people in their life to be happy and kris wants affection. i love kris deltarune

Sad for Muderbot calling itself Murderbot just because of all those murders. Could’ve called itself Defensebot but no. It gets all hung up on the murders.

#hold up i just realized something #from the pov of the corporation rim #mb probably didnt MURDER anybody #cr probably writes off these deaths as ‘killed in action/killed in the field #‘the word murder has such an intense and personal connotation #to the cr these constructs are police/soldiers doing a duty #and from a corporate pov police and soldiers dont /murder/ they kill #so already mb sets itself LIGHTYEARS apart from the company just with this one small change #it kind of suggests that it sees those deaths as its own personal responsibility #it treated humans LIKE HUMANS instead of like cattle or nameless employees #even though it never received that consideration in return #anyway thanks for unlocking this thought op (tags via lazarus-mission)

Ok, so Murderbot misused the word anagram when describing why ART is named ART, yeah, and I couldn’t remember what the right word was, so I googled “what’s the word for a word made out of words?” and google said anagram. I now see how Murderbot made that mistake.

Props to Murderbot for both having the most grammatically ambiguous common pronouns and not allowing anyone to use its name. MB was like “if you absolutely must talk about me in any capacity I’m going to make that as difficult as possible for you” and I respect that.

#I started to watch an interesting-looking video about fight scenes in murderbot the other day#and the dude said ‘murderbot himself’ ten seconds in#I jumped back TWICE to check that this dude had just truly blatantly said that utter nonsense and not just ‘themself’ poorly pronounced#then closed the heck out of that video#‘themself’ would still have been wrong#but a slight effort would have been made#I’m still mad about this#how do you make a video about murderbot and understand it so poorly???

This one time I heard someone be like “Martha Wells should assign Murderbot a gender since it’s becoming so human” and my incandescent rage was halted only by my brain bluescreening as I tried to figure out which completely wrong part of that statement made me the angriest.
