OK, so if I was going to write this crossover, it would be... probably very, very niche. XD One of my favorite Star Trek TOS books of all time is Uhura's Song, by Janet Kagan. In this book, the Eeiauoans are a species of humanoid cat that are suffering through a pandemic that threatens to wipe out their entire species. Using hints found in forbidden songs once shared with her in secret by an Eeiauoan friend, Uhura and Spock locate the Eeiauoans planet of origin, Sivao and the Enterprise heads off to find it, looking for a cure.
And if I were to write this story, I just... want Da Qing to meet these people. They may not be Yashou and they may not be his people, but they ARE cats, and they aren't of Earth. Maybe there is a common ancestor somewhere? Maybe they're what his people could have been if they'd returned to the stars. But I particularly want him to meet Jinx and Brightspot because if ever two people needed a better parental figure, THEY DID.
So, yeah. That's the story I would write. ^_^
