While I do love a good time-travel fic, I think most people are missing out on the drama and hilarity of Percy or Annabeth screaming for Apollon to come make sure a plague doesn’t happen. The demigods are from the Americas and the future, the Ancient Greece is not prepared for influenza or whatever we are just passively/asymptomatically carrying around. It would be worse than the bubonic plague. Think about how contagious the flu is.

So the gods first introduction to the PJO kids is them frantically bossing Apollon around. Absolutely wild behavior
