Ghostbusters

This verse is written with the wonderful Pops, aka @spxnglr, and open to interactions with fellow Ghostbusters mutuals.

Sealed inside an urn for one hundred and forty years, Elsa awakens to a world she no longer recognizes. Overwhelmed by fear and confusion, she loses control of her magic ---blanketing New York City in a sudden, supernatural blizzard… in the middle of summer. The raw surge of energy doesn’t go unnoticed. Egon Spengler, braving the chaos, manages to reach Elsa through the storm and guide her to calm, ultimately helping her bring the icy tempest to an end.

But ending the storm was only the beginning.

Elsa is arrested and charged with an act of domestic terrorism. Her release, pending trial, comes with one condition: she must be placed under the custody of Egon Spengler. Alongside a sympathetic professor from the New York Museum of Natural History, Egon speaks on her behalf. If not for their relentless efforts over the following months, Elsa might never have been exonerated.

During her time living with Egon, the lines between gratitude and affection blur. Was what she felt genuine love or the natural result of relying so heavily on the one person who stood by her? Eventually, Elsa decides it’s best for both of them if she leaves. With her royal status restored and finances in order, she relocated to Norway, believing distance would offer clarity.

But it didn’t.

Despite the time apart, her feelings for Egon remain unchanged. Still, fear of rejection keeps her silent… until now. A strange, supernatural blight is spreading across New York ---trapping people within their own nightmares. The crisis forces Elsa and Egon to reunite, and this time, there’s more than just the city’s fate at stake.

Tolkein Verse

This is intended as a guide to my verse for interactions in the Tolkein universe, specifically in the second age. There may be continuity errors I overlooked and much of this is a wip and influenced by my interactions with partners, but these are my organized thoughts so far.

Elsa & her journey

Elsa's death in the depths of Ahtohallan, though temporary, was the loss of her mortality, the mortal form she was born into, and the awakening of the primordial spirit she is. Elsa is of the Maiar -- created by Ahtohallan to be its vessel so the balance with the spirits of nature who have been upset by the blight that centuries of war have caused the land can be restored -- chosen at conception as a gift from Ahtohallan to her parents for the sacrifice Idunna made when she chose to save Agnarr's life that day the forest was under siege. Elsa's magic is intricately tied to Ahtohallan and her emotions. She is able to summon memories through water and call upon the powers of the elemental spirits; Bruni, Nokk, Gale, and the Earth Giants are as capable of creating incredible beauty as they are destruction if they're not kept in balance by Elsa. Her power continues to grow stronger and without the guidance and training she receives from Elrond in Imladris, she is vulnerable to manipulation by those who seek to misuse her as a weapon. None as strongly as Sauron.

Elsa's elven lineage is from her father's bloodline, through her grandmother Rita. She chose a mortal life with the human man she loved, Runeard, and when that fairytale fell apart she made the hardest choice a mother can ---to leave her child behind and seek out the rock trolls to erase her memories. Rita's whereabouts are unknown and if she is living, she has no knowledge of her granddaughters.

Ahtohallan & Valinor

Throughout Elsa's journey deeper into the glacier we see evidence that this was a sacred place, a temple, and the previous fifth spirit (also Maiar) didn't want anyone to enter the sanctum of memories because they destroyed the entrances. Elsa had to rebuild pillars and stairs to get there.

For this verse, the previous fifth spirit destroyed the temple to protect it from Morgoth, because Ahtohallan is connected to Valinor. A piece of what remains of the Helcaraxë ice sheet that became the turbulent dark sea where the water spirit dwells and the magic within Ahtohallan, the last vestige of connection to Arda outside of Middle Earth.

Arendelle and the flood aftermath

Elsa and Anna had to make acts of sacrifice to right the wrongs of their grandfather and restore balance together. Elsa gave her life in the depths of Ahtohallan to find the truth, and Anna destroyed the dam that was cutting off the forest from the North. Their combined acts freed the forest and revived Elsa but she was too late to protect Arendelle from the floodwaters and the kingdom was washed away. As queen, Anna works to rebuild the kingdom and honors their ancestry by creating a new kingdom founded in love and unity.

For interactions in the ATLA universe, unless otherwise plotted, Elsa is not the 5th spirit. I am keeping her within the timeline of pre Frozen to Forest of Shadows. She is the queen of Arendelle and her magic is icebending from her mother's waterbender genes. How/why it's manifested the way it has will depend on what we've plotted and I may borrow things like the Northuldra existing, but they will be a tribe of mixed benders, while Arendellians are all non benders, which is the fuel to Runeard's war with them. I have plans.

Legend of Vox Machina

A Legend of Vox Machina verse

When yet another apocalyptic event threatens Exandia, Vox Machina is called on to escort Elsa to Emon because she is Exandria’s best chance at sealing the Spirit of Nightmare, Nattmara, back into the spirit realm before the realm is consumed by the beast.

Guardian of Spirits

A Rise of the Guardians Verse

Elsa gave her life in Ahtohallan in pursuit of the truth and though her sacrifice was the catalyst needed for Anna to destroy the dam and right the wrongs of their grandfather, the price was high. Arendelle was wiped away in the floodwaters -- though it is being rebuilt by Anna and Kristoff to honor the kingdoms true history.

Elsa has been left with the grief and guilt from abandoning Anna and failing to save Arendelle. She is trying to reconcile that the life she knew is gone and she struggles with moving forward and letting go. She has come to rely on her fellow guardians to help her cope and find her place among them.

All interactions with characters in this fandom will fall somewhere within this timeline unless we have plotted something else. Not all threads will be linear. My partners in this verse are not expected to interact with each other.

Tolkien Verse

This post is a WIP

Ahtohallan is connected to Valinor. A piece of what remains of the Helcaraxë ice sheet that became the turbulent dark sea where the water spirit dwells and the magic within Ahtohallan, the last vestige of connection to Arda. When Helcaraxë melted and created the Dark Sea, it separated the world Arendelle is in from Middle Earth. Jarl Aren of Arenelle was of Elven descent and that is why the things he did are documented as being magical in nature and why there is no other magic in Aredelle until Elsa's birth. Elsa is a being of primordial spirit, of the Maiar. She was created by Ahtohallan (a vestige of Valanor's power) at conception as a gift to restore balance among the spirits of nature who have been upset by the actions of humanity.

This verse takes place one year after the events of Frozen II and continues 100 years later after the return of Calamity Ganon.

Elsa is called by the mother spirit, Ahtohallan, to the island of Hyrule where she becomes an ally and friend to Princess Zelda. When the Calamity strikes she is forced to seal off the island to keep the Calamity from spreading to other lands. With Link left slumbering in the shrine, Zelda trapped, and the champions dead, Elsa and the spirits retreated back to the forest of Arendelle until the day she feels pulled back to Hyrule to take her place as the next Sage of Spirit.

Skyrim

A Skyrim Verse

Elsa is the reincarnation of Kynareth, the deity of the heavens, the winds, the elements, and the unseen spirits of the earth. She can be found around and in the many temples of Kyne where she works with the Pristsesses to heal her sick patrons. Knowing how easily she can tip the scales out of balance with every choice she makes, she abstains from any sort of politics out of worry it may be seen as favoritism by those who suspect she is the Goddess reborn.

She feels the heaviness of destiny. Especially where the Dragonborn is concerned. The soul bond they share is a powerful one that draws them together and while her feelings for Hans are deep she worries they could become entangled and they won't know where Shor and Kynareth end and they begin. So she fights against that intrinsic pull of her soul to his with all the resolve she possesses. Often times pushing him away with bitterness and frustration, but like Shor loved Kynareth, Hans is devoted to her and he shows it by being strong when she cannot be.
