Crossroads GPS lies about Sen. Mary Landrieu...For the third week in a row!

Two weeks ago, Crossroads GPS released an ad lying about Sen. Mary Landrieu voting for Obamacare, and thus cutting Medicare by hundreds of billions of dollars. Wasn’t true then. A week ago, they released another ad, using the same ridiculous lie. Still wasn’t true. This week, they released ANOTHER AD using the same old Medicare lie.

What is going on at Crossroads GPS? They are the ones seeking to end Medicare as we know it; not Sen. Landrieu. Guess we’ll plan to see you here next week when they post yet another baseless lie against a hardworking senator.

Wish we could except more from Crossroads, but that would just be silly. This is after all a group formed by President Bush’s own: Karl Rove.

Crossroads GPS uses a debunked lie against Sen. Mary Landrieu for the second week in a row

Last week, Crossroads GPS released an ad attacking Sen. Mary Landrieu. In it, they used the oft-debunked lie that Obamacare gutted Medicare. We went ahead and spelled out how ridiculous it was. Guess they weren’t paying attention because this week, they released another ad using the same tired argument. Have they no shame?

Crossroads GPS invokes the Medicare Lie against Sen. Mary Landrieu

Karl Rove’s shadowy Super PAC Crossroads GPS is using a very debunked lie to say that because Sen. Mary Landrieu supports Obamacare, she aims to cut Medicare by hundreds of billions of dollars. She supports Obamacare because she believes that all the citizens of Louisiana—and the US—should have affordable access to quality healthcare. 

Karl Rove doesn’t agree. He supports Rep. Paul Ryan’s budget which aims to voucherize Medicare. So to clarify, Rove is lying, saying that Landrieu is trying to do something that she’s not, despite the fact that he is trying to do the same thing! They don’t call him Turd Blossom for nothing.

Crossroads GPS levels “The Medicare Lie” against Sen. Kay Hagan...Again!

A few weeks ago, Karl Rove’s Crossroads GPS released an ad claiming that Sen. Kay Hagan wanted to gut Medicare. It wasn’t true. Now they’ve released two more, making the same ridiculous claim. Guess what? It’s still not true!

You know what is true? Karl Rove still supports Rep. Paul Ryan’s budget, which would voucherize Medicare and thus end the program as we know it! Is this guy for real?

Crossroads GPS is the real phony for using ‘The Medicare Lie’ against Sen. Hagan

Crossroads GPS is running an ad against North Carolina Sen. Kay Hagan. The ad is called ‘phony,’ and it claims, amongst other things, that her support for Obamacare caused cuts to Medicare. Politifact has stated clearly, again and again and again, that this is simply not the case. 

Hagan’s Republican opponent, Thom Thillis, supported Rep. Paul Ryan’s budget, which aims to voucherize Medicare. And Crossroads GPS is a shadowy organization founded in part by Karl Rove, who also supports the Ryan budget. 

So Rove and Crossroads are running ads against Hagan for doing something that she hasn’t done, while in reality, it is something that they want to do! Who is really the phony in this scenario?

Crossroads GPS repeats ‘The Medicare Lie’ against Colorado Sen. Mark Udall

Crossroads GPS is attacking Sen. Mark Udall for supporting Obamacare, and thus cutting $716 billion from Medicare. But this simply isn’t true. Does Udall support Obamacare? Of course! The program is great for Americans of all ages. But does Obamacare cut billions from Medicare. Of course not. Politifact has said so numerous times.

Udall’s Republican opponent—Rep. Cory Gardner—voted for Rep. Paul Ryan’s budget, which seeks to voucherize Medicare and end the program as we know it. And Karl Rove’s Crossroads GPS, who paid for the ad, also supports the Ryan budget. So are they lying about Udall, and even obfuscating about their own agenda? Of course! Should we be surprised? Of course not!
