Crowd Etiquette
So we had a concert on campus tonight and my friends and I got floor tickets. Now I love being in a crowd for a show, but what the fuck is up with people who have no respect for everyone else in there? I have no clue why people have to fuckin push through the crowd, trying to get to the front, while all the time sayin "Oh my friends are up there." Can't they just enjoy the place they were in, cuz it was a small area. As I am finally getting into some of the opening bands/the DJ, a whole group of LAXbros decide to carry their one friend to the front, stopping in between my friends and I. It got to the point where I was pushed up against the people next to me with no room to breathe. I ended up leaving the place I was in and hanging in the back, having a better time.
Social Etiquette Rule #149
Learn how to use an escalator properly. If you are just going to just stand there then it is only polite to stay on one side so other people can still pass you. The right way to do this is stand on the right hand side of the escalator and allow people to pass by on the left. There is nothing wrong with standing on an escalator, but it is rude when you stand there and block the way for others that may have something very important to get to. This is practically law in cities like Tokyo and New York City. If you block people then you are only subjecting yourself to angry people in a rush that will push and shove till you are out of their way.
