Incredulous, Gabriel stood in the doorway and stared at the scene before him. Crowley sat at the breakfast bar as if he’d only been intended to slip into the chair for a moment, given that his foot was still on the ground and half of his arse was off the stool, but he had eaten the entire dish before him. It wasn’t just a serving either, one that he’d pulled out and put into a different dish to consume. It was the whole dish. Someone who Gabriel had never really known to eat much anyway had gone and eaten the entire casserole.
If not for the fact that Gabriel had spent hours slaving away over it, he wouldn’t have cared. Cooking was something relatively new to him, so he didn’t always mind when Crowley stole bites here and there before he was finished, but this casserole had been important. It was a new recipe made in a new dish that Gabriel had bought for this occasion. Money had been exchanged for it; the dish hadn’t been conjured up from a miracle.
(Because I am now a sucker for your Gabriel/Crowley) M. When it rains/snows/storms ( Gabriel & Crowley, obviously)
Crowley took a deep breath, and let it out in an even deeper sigh, sinking into the chair, staring dramatically out the window.Aziraphale tsked and glanced up at him from his desk. “If you want to go outside, just go outside.”Crowley frowned, following the raindrops as they slid down the glass of the window. “But it’s no fun aloooooone.” He rolled his head down and around, big eyes staring at Aziraphale. “Please?”Aziraphale huffed. Crowley could see the gears turning in his head, trying to decide if his desire to help Crowley was greater than his desire to keep reading. Thankfully he didn’t have to make a decision, as a pop in the air deposited Gabriel in the room with them.“Oh!” Aziraphale said, wiggling in his seat a bit. “Gabriel! Hello, dear.”“Hello,” Gabriel greeted. He looked around, a bit nervously. “I had some free time,” he explained. “I hope it’s okay I came by.”“Of course it is, you know that,” Aziraphale assured him.“Yeah,” Crowley said, a twinkle of trouble in his eye. “C’mon, let’s go!” He jumped up and grabbed Gabriel’s arm, dragging him towards the door. “Where are we going?” Gabriel asked, doing nothing to stop the pull, but keeping his eyes on Aziraphale who made no so indication that he was going to follow them.“Outside.” Crowley pulled the door open and the hush of rain filled the space. And no protection was made as Crowley dragged Gabriel out, the water soaking them thoroughly.“Crowley!” Gabriel said, picking at his ruined suit. “Ah, don’t worry,” Crowley said. “It’ll dry.”Gabriel turned his frown to him, but Crowley was already walking away, holding his arms out to the rain. Gabriel shook his head, Aziraphale’s words of picking his battles ringing in his mind. A quick miracle fixed his suit and presented him with an umbrella. “What are we doing out here?” Gabriel asked as he followed after Crowley.“You’ve never just gone for a walk in the rain?” Crowley asked. His face was shining from the lights of the street reflecting off the rain water. And his smile was wide and genuine.“Why would you willingly get wet and ruin your clothes when you have adequate protection?” Gabriel jiggled the umbrella.“Cause,” Crowley said, smirking at the puddle next to them. “It’s fun!” He jumped into the puddle, splashing water onto Gabriel’s recently cleaned suit. He just laughed when Gabriel glared at him. “C’mon, frumpy face! Have a little fun!”He raced away, laughing in delight as he heard Gabriel chasing after him. He only lead him once around the block, not wanting to risk making Gabriel actually upset with him. They were both soaked to the core when they raced back into the shop.“Stop!” Aziraphale declared. Crowley skidded to a halt just in the foyer. Gabriel missed the cue and ran into him, grabbing his hips to steady himself. “You will not get my shop or my books wet.”Crowley nodded and shook himself dry, half of that water that was on him landing on Gabriel. Gabriel gave him a look. He decided to make it up to him by brushing him dry. “I still don’t see what all the fuss is about,” Gabriel said. “Well we haven’t gotten to the best part,” Crowley said. Gabriel raised an eyebrow at him and Crowley dragged him over to the chair he had been lamenting in before. He pushed Gabriel down and then crawled into his lap, snapping a large blanket into existence.“I see,” Gabriel said as Crowley wrapped the blanket around the and snuggled down against Gabriel. Gabriel hugged him close. “This is enjoyable.”
