I was expecting vampire pron, why did this serve me biting fetish?

Ngl, the plot was trash, but it wasn’t exactly that bad. It was at least bearable to listen to, and I actually listened to this without skipping anything. It kept me invested, I’ll give it that. But like, think of 2007 BL bad clichés like spineless bottoms, rape, no condoms, and suddenly jealous tops when the bottom leaves them bc the tops doesn’t want a relationship. Okay, so I guess it really was that bad. They also had the lamest excuses to initiate sex, and I don’t think Sangou Mitsuru is even the slightest ashamed of it lmao. There was this part where Yana was getting some female attention during a drinking party, and then Igarashi whisks him away, saying that he and Yana had plans to go for more drinks. Igarashi-san obv takes him to a hotel to have some possessive sex, but Yana, being the dumbass he was, thought that they were going to drink in the hotel.

Props to Yana for being strong even saying “Wachu gon do bout it?” when Igarashi-san was complaining that Yana was no longer entertaining him. I mean, bro, you raped him? What did you expect? Yana groveling to your feet? lmao he actually does 3 seconds after. I also don’t buy Igarashi-san’s instant domesticity because his feelings for Yana does not seem genuine even after his mini-monologue. 

The only good character in this whole shitshow was Shiori-san (the girl who tried to ask Yana out). I wish I was half as brave and pretty as her. Dang, I wish she ended up bagging/banging Yana smh.

Moving on to the technicality of things, the sole reason why I listened to this because I wanted to give Horie Shun another chance to prove to me that he has improved over two? years I haven’t listened to him in a lead role. Ngl, he still is a little rough around the edges, but there is definitely some improvement there. His acting sounded as forced as their first bedroom encounter lmao. He honestly sounded like those fake ass pornstars. He also didn’t have a lot of chemistry with Taku in the beginning, and even if they slowly eased into it later on, they still couldn’t sync with each other during the bedding. Might have been better to rerecord the first tracks, but idk man, I don’t think Crown Works had the budget for this seeing how my next point will be. AHAHAHA. But going back to Shun, he still managed to capitalize on his squeaking here, which was nice. He really didn’t do it up until the 4th track?, so I thought that he was going to skip it. Anyway, the squeaks are back, my pimples are cleared, cancer is cured, and coronavirus is no more. 😌

As for Taku, I know that I said back in Ookami that Ren was his best performance, but I think I like his Igarashi-san more. I mean, it’s no secret that his voice holds no permanent place whatsoever in my miniscule goldfish brain, so I can’t really pick his voice out from a crowd, but his Igarashi-san was *chefs kiss. Had Igarashi-san not been a wishy-washy rapist asshole, I would have liked it more than I do rn. It’s easily comparable to Saitou Souma’s performance as Hiro in Akai Ito. He just sounded so natural and unstrained here. I would definitely love to hear him in this tone more.

FOR THE REAL ISSUE I HAVE WITH THIS THING

The sound engineering on this was, quite literally, trash.

First of all, the bgm sucked so bad I had to search if this really was Crown Works bc this sounded more like Supersonic. The bgms were so cringey and ill-fitting bc they make it sound like what was happening was way worse than what it really was. ALSO, the waterfalls! Oh my god, the waterfalls! The other sfx were fine, but the slightest movement in the nether regions gets awarded with waterfall sfx! You know, even without prior experience regarding the act of sex, I can still tell you with utmost confidence that ejaculating does not sound like a goddamn hose. To illustrate just how bad the waterfalling was, there was this scene that Yana was leaking precum when Igarashi-san bit into him, AND IT SOUNDED LIKE HE JIZZED HIS PANTS. I DON’T UNDERSTAND. 

SHOW ME THE NAME OF THE STUDIO THAT DID THE SOUND ENGINEERING ON THIS, CROWN. I JUST WANNA TALK. Lucky Dog 1′s sfx is as dry as the desert compared to this BLCD, and that’s saying a lot.

What a waste of talent, man. The casting was fine, but there’s so little chemistry between our two leads. The rest of cast were great, though. There is literally no saving this BLCD. I definitely don’t recommend anyone getting this. Sure, I did like the biting fetish thing bc same, but we all know what the winner is between novelty and quality. If you want bitey action, you’d be better off listening to some jingai/kemono BL like Remnant or other. If vampires are your thing, then go and listen to Fujitsu de Fumou na Koi no Kami-kon starring Okitsu and Egu. Might be on the fluffier side, but that’ll show you just what good sound direction and chemistry is—by none other than Crown Works.

There is nothing I hope for more in this world than Nakajiki saying “errro” on repeat and for all tsunderes to die. Why’d Shimaji even give them plot? Just make them fuck for fucks’ sake. I really don’t want to say this, and I know that I’m still pissed with Yuukyuu Omega making me have +3 hate towards the world, but this plot is stupid. They literally played the misunderstanding game like they’re 3 oh my god. Toxicity aside, this plot also didn’t make any sense because even though Amano already has an ex-girlfriend, of course he needs another third party character who’s a male to fall in love with him because he needs payback for Mikeneko having a third party who’s also male.

Anyway, trash plot aside, the voice work was divine. I mean, how could it not be? Saitou Souma has come down from the heavens to bless my ears like the angel that he is. However, I would just like to stress that what really saved this cruise to the Ends of My Patience, is actually Nakajiki. I even completely forgot about his subpar stint in Yuukyuu Omega the very moment he started speaking here.

Damn, daddy really made Saitou Souma work omg. I contemplated many times on pausing and leaving to go touch some grass outside. Yeah, this is how I like my Nakajiki. Also, the difference between his voice as the fucker instead of the fuckee—

I haven’t actually read the raws because I ain’t about to drop coin for Shimaji a second time lmao. However, I could definitely say that this was a good adaptation and sequel, regardless. I mean, do I have to reiterate how Nakajki and Saitou Souma did? The other seiyuus did well too even tho they only had very smol appearances. And if you’re into the whole tsuntsun bottom and jealous top cliche, then by all means listen to this. Listening to this is a good way to kill some time at the very least. 🤷

BLCD Review: Fujitsu de Fumou na Koi no Kami-kon

Despite still complaining about the taste after that, Lark sucks Itsuki’s blood at every opportunity. However, there’s some kind of aphrodisiac in the vampire’s fangs so every time he’s sucked, Itsuki gets hard…!!

Four good BLCDs in a row and now a fifth?! Oh, it’s Christmas!

Yo, I came into this fully expecting a porn shit show, but I was so wrong. The cover screams DoS Obake material, so I was really hesitant in listening to this. Also, I have seen Yuri Azuru’s other works, and they were all pwps. I mean, what were the chances that we’re going to get another Kimitte Yatsu wa, right? Well, sensei and Crown Works had something to say about that because THIS WAS 100% WHOLESOME FLUFF WTF.

I was already impressed at how dynamic everything was in the first few pages because I thought we were going to be served the full shounen BL experience, but as their relationship developed, so did the fluff. It’s a bit sad to see all the world-building go to waste ngl because the shounen element of the plot got kinda washed out, but it still worked in the end. Had it only been longer and more balanced, this would be up there. Read this and be amazed. Sensei’s a pretty good writer in terms of comedy and wit—the shteamy stuff were good, too. This is her first full-length series, mind you. I hope to see more of this from them. Also, their art looks like the lovechild of Kanda Neko and Hinohara Meguru, but with a shounen twist. I do see Miyauchi in Lark sometimes, but that’s probably because of you know who.

Moving on to the voice work,

It’s like each time I say that this performance of so-and-so is the best of them I’ve heard yet, their next performance automatically turns out to be better! But I’m still going to say it. This is the best fucking performance I’ve ever heard from Eguchi Takuya and I’m sure that this will stay as my favorite of his for a long long time (I mean, as a bottom). See how well Egu bottoms in his natural voice??? I wouldn’t be as mas as I was with Kanawanu if he had done it in this tone. Also, who knows how different Kanawanu would have been had he been more comfortable tone back then. 😩 

Do you know what’s just as rare as higher pitched VAs topping? Lower pitched VAs bottoming for VAs using roughly the same pitch as them! This used to be more common during the Gen 2 era, but it’s almost always a hit or miss nowadays. If you’ve ever listened to Kurui Naku, you’d know exactly what I’m talking about. Almost everyone was using lower pitched tones and it was even hard to distinguish Makonyan from Kobayashi Yuusuke in the first CD because they sounded so similar. A story needs to have good sound direction, chemistry between the leads, and a suitable plot to be able to pull the LxL VA off and that was something Fujitsu had while Kurui Naku, Thoroughbred, and Kanwanu Koi did not.

Expanding my point about casting/sound direction and chemistry, the best decision Crown Works ever did for this adaptation was to actually cast Okitsu. I’m not only saying this because I’m Okitsu trash because if you’ve read my BLCDs reviews, you’d all know that I’m not and will never be in favor of OkitsuxMakonyan or MakonyanxOkitsu in whatever tone they can muster. There are just some pairings in this world that should not exist. And if you’ve also read my review for Torokeru Kuchibiru, you’d know that Okitsu struggled with the constant and spontaneous changes he needed to do because of his character. Lark’s character and dialogue also had almost the exact same demands, so why did Lark click while Ryou didn’t? First of all, the writing for ToroKuchi was shit. IT’S BECAUSE LARK WAS A FUCKING GET YOU A MAN WHICH IS OKITSU’S FUCKING FORTE.

I’ve mentioned before that Okitsu doesn’t do well in comedic roles because that wasn’t his style, but Lark was both comedic/spontaneous and get you man, so it worked! Also, like the characters he portrays, Okitsu is a get you a man even as himself during work. Not only was Okitsu burdened with being spontaneous, but the chemistry needed between him and Egu also rested upon his shoulders. Remember, it was Lark who was going to initiate the romance between them because Itsuki’s developments were more inward. Even if he (rare) and his co-star underperformed, you best believe that there’s always, always chemistry between them because Okitsu wills it so. Goddamn, I really want this man to be my husband. Okitsu be like: “Don’t worry, Egu boy. You just focus on your acting and leave everything else to me.” *wink

Also, I’ve thought about this many times before, but I pushed it aside because a part of me just can’t accept it. 

Okitsu is Gen 2 Yusa Koji.

Wasn’t it like yesterday when I was listening to Bitter where Yusa was starring and Okitsu was an extra??? 

The first few minutes of the BLCD really hit me like a truck because Okitsu sounded so much like Yusa. I haven’t heard Yusa in a long time, mind you, but I know exactly how he sounds like. It was like listening to Taemin sing like Jjong in Kiss Kiss. ​😭​ 

Anyway, VA fangirling aside, Egu did so well with Okitsu and no one really outshone anyone—everything was balanced as it should be. 😌 Again, the chemistry between these two was phenomenal! From their slapstick antics to their bedroom blood donation drives, they were in perfect tune with each other. Shingaki, I love you, but better take notes. 

So we had perfect voice acting, chemistry, and execution. It’s loyalty to the manga, though, was a bit off. There were a lot of cutouts, addends, and rearranged events, but if you read the manga beforehand, it shouldn’t be hard to catch up. I definitely recommend reading the manga while listening to the BLCD because it makes the experience a hundred times better! This has been scanlated by Harudaki, so it might not be accessible for many. Here’s to hoping that another group also picks this up or it gets licensed in English.🤞

BLCD Review: Ookami e no Yomeiri

I HAVE MADE A HUGE MISTAKE

Y’all if I knew that this was going to be that good, I wouldn’t have started the log with this. I mean, OokamiYomeiri does have its’ issues about dubious consent, legal shota, and assault, but it was better written than say Lala no Kekkon and Ookami wa Hana no Kaori imo. Reading through plots like these almost always feel like a chore, but this is one of the few exceptions. I even found myself laughing out loud sometimes. 😂 Kaede and Ren are also likeable characters and their relationship didn’t feel as rushed despite the whole of the story happening in just a month. Kaede did seem like a pushover at first, but my boy knows how to kick back (literally) and even helps out with the family business willingly. Ren had his moments, but I actually found him cute esp with his wiping the table gag. 😂

One of the main reasons I put this on first was because I wasn’t really looking forward to hearing Taku and Amasaki Kouhei. I have mentioned this before, but I literally haven’t heard Yashiro Taku in a good BLCD before. I don’t mean that he’s a bad VA, it’s just that majority of the BLCDs I’ve listened to (and even own *sigh*) had a bad plotline. *war flashbacks* Basically, I just did what I did the last log with Suki de Gomen ne, but this time, Taku actually came at me with a great performance and a better plot.

I’d have to argue that his Ren is his best performance to date. And Amasaki Kouhei, oh my god. He has grown so much from Golden Sparkle. This is also my favorite performance of his and I wish that he would do more stuff in my alley in the future. 🙏 His tone here reminds me of Matsuoka Yoshitsugu’s minus the huskiness. Ugh. You just gotta love twinning in the seiyuu industry. 😩

And speaking of VA’s! I didn’t look at the full cast list, so I was surprised to know that Shirai Yuusuke was in this! Is it just me, or does he sound like Ishida Akira? I was confused when I first heard him because I really thought that he was Ishida Akira. I quickly remembered that it was 2020 and not 2002, though, so I brushed that thought aside. Man, I miss the 2000′s.  😭 Anyway, Shirai Yuusuke did stellar here and I’m glad that I’m finally able to pick up on his voice.

This was a great adaptation overall. There were some addends in the dialogue, but nothing that impacts the story much. The sound direction was commendable, too. I could even compare it to Remnant’s because even if you listen to the BLCD without reading the manga along, you would still get that vibe that the beastmen (ooh! reference!) really are beastmen. But well, it’s Ginger Records, so they don’t really lag on believability. If you’re a fan of the series and or the VAs, I highly recommend getting this!

UGH. IT FRUSTRATES ME THAT I’VE STARTED ON A GOOD BLCD. The probability of me having a perfectly good BLCD log is 0 (as in that has never happened before), so it’s gonna suck having to listen to a bad one after starting like this (and this log especially doesn’t look too good tbh). Yaoi gods, please help me finish this log safely. 🤞

Why am I so weak when it comes to Mafuyu and Uenoyama’s relationship??? Not even a few minutes in and they already show Uenoyama’s anxiety. I JUST WANT MY CHILDREN TO BE HAPPY. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO IN ORDER FOR GUSARI TO JUST LEAVE THEM ALONE??? This is quite ironic seeing as how I was praising Gusari for adding some realism into their relationship in 4. 😂 But I’m honestly so beat up from Itsuka Koi ni Naru Made and Saezuru that I wanted my heart to take a break. Who the hell even made this log list and why the hell is Itsuka Koi ni Naru, Saezuru, and Given right next to each other??? I was initially going to put SuzuMinta’s works before Saezuru and Given, but did I really want to put Saezuru and Given before Therapy Game and Love Nest? That’s gonna be total heart ache after total heart ache! 

Anyway, the voice work and sound direction here was phenomenal as usual. Shout out to MSG for most of the sound work, Misa Sasa for the Ugetsu’s violin, and Yohei Matsui for the lyrics. It’s so sad that all the cast and staff of the BLCD were never brought in for that anime adaptation. I mean, what was the point in getting rid of all of them? Everyone absolutely loved the series and working with each other, so I don’t think any of them would ever refuse appearing in the anime, busy schedule or not. 

Scratch that. I’m gonna say it. I absolutely hated how they scrapped all of the VAs. Where was the need? Are my boys not good enough for the anime adaptation??? When they’ve got a solid fan base that’s about four years old now??? Is Saitou Souma not good enough of a singer for you that you replaced him with some inexperienced VA to voice Mafuyu instead? I know that prods tend to hold cast auditions for anime adaptations, and I don’t have any beef with Yano Shougo and I’m sure he did his best, but the audacity of Blue Lynx to even hold them and not pick Saitou Souma...

I’ve heard the anime version of Fuyu no Hanashi and I dislike how it’s so polished and commercialized when Given’s just an indie band with an inexperienced vocalist. Who y’all fooling? And the lyrics...it completely took away the most important point of the song which is the “fingers getting cold” which is a very vital part of the series because the act of hands slipping away is featured in ALL of the characters’ relationships. If they changed Yoru no Mukou in the movie, I will be livid. Now, I personally don’t care about the anime cast using different tones for their characters so long as they are able to bring their characters to life just as well, but were they really able to do that? Mafuyu was supposed to have “a beautiful husky voice” as per Gusari, but Yano Shougo was more light and sharp which makes his sound less mature and more emotional as compared to Saitou Souma’s more distant and low-key tormented Mafuyu. I definitely prefer Saitou Souma’s soft yet heavy tone over Yano’s because I think that it encapsulates the manga Mafuyu more, but Yano Shougo’s was decent enough for a rookie actor regardless. Yuuma and Nakazawa Masatomo did well in their respective roles even though the former is higher and the latter is lower in pitch than their BLCD counterparts. Yuuma had nailed Makonyan’s Uenoyama down to a degree without going down to his pitch which was nice—UNLIKE SOMEONE. What was the point in making Egu try and replicate Hino Satoshi’s obviously more lower voice??? Egu’s Akihiko might be two to three pitches lower than his Kaburagi and you can clearly hear him strain his throat when he does it—and he goes flat while he does it, too! Please stop making Egu do that, that can’t possibly be good for his throat. I don't want him to go through what Okamoto Nobuhiko did. If Blue Lynx wanted that type of Akihiko, then why didn’t they just cast the original cast in the first place??? If y’all retained all of the Saezuru cast members, then why couldn’t you do the same for Given???

UGH. Way to ruin a franchise. Let’s not even get started with the general animation.

Anyway, back onto the topic of the BLCD, all of my boys slayed their parts as usual. Looking at the cast now, I just feel so proud that they’ve all made names for themselves in the BL industry and have blossoming careers ever since the first BLCD. I would’ve never guessed that Saitou Souma and Makonyan would rise to the top of the industry in just a short span of time. Man, I’m getting emotional. They’re like my children whom I’ve seen grow and robbed right before my very eyes. 😭😭😭 I feel like it was just yesterday when Saitou Souma made his very first appearance as Noiz’ or Hino Satoshi’s younger brother in the DMMD special CDs and now he’s chil-chil’s top 1 BL seiyuu. 😭😭😭 Bless. 

No, we’re not going to talk about Haruki and Akihiko’s relationship here because you really can’t talk sense into someone’s who’s marupok. Anong siya pa den sa hule? MAHINANG NILALANG. If he’s happy being a clown, then let him be a clown. Let’s just hope that Akihiko doesn’t hurt him anymore (even though he’s said that he might hurt him again in the future).

This adaptation stuck closely to the manga, so reading it along would be easy. Yoru no Mukou was amazing. I was tearing up while listening to it and I think I like it more than Fuyu no Hanashi (Saitou Souma’s version), but Fuyu no Hanashi is just a different sting yo. These days I just find myself listening to both just to cry myself to sleep at night. HAHAHAHA. I definitely recommend getting the Live Edition instead of just the normal version because you just have to listen to the whole song!

Anyway, umm, it’s actually quite well-written for what it is porn. I just wish that they didn’t add any romance to this because it’s really...this ain’t it folks. I was even considering working on this for a whole 12 pages. Had I seen a preview of page 13, I would have noped out of buying it! UGHHHHH. Kimi e Otodoke is just laughing in my project grave. Rest assured, children, I will try my best to finish translating you especially after this fiasco.

Enough with the plot, let’s move on into the voice work.

I’m quite surprised that the manga is 70% Amano’s monologue, which in turn, made the BLCD 70% Nakajima Yoshiki’s. I did have my doubts, but y’all, it looks like Nakajima Yoshiki’s also starting 2020 strong!!! 💪 If anything, I thought that it was Saitou Souma who was cast in the wrong role. At first, I thought that Miike’s role should have gone to someone with Shimono Hiro’s tone which had a certain roughness to it. Nojima Hirofumi or Yamashita Seiichirou would have done good, too. But at the end of the day, Saitou Souma made this his own unsurprisingly and with another unique tone obviously. It was funny to hear them both call Amano’s dick as a meat dildo sometimes. I wonder what the studio looked like when they were recording. 😂 

This was leagues better than their performance in XL Saizu in terms of Nakajima Yoshiki’s comfort with the tone he’s using and their chemistry with each other. XL Saizu’s sequel will be adapted to a BLCD in September if time permits, so I hope to see an even better performance then and the same level of performance if ever the sequel to Midara gets adapted. 

In regards to accuracy, the BLCD was a little jumpy with the organization of the dialogue and there are a lot of adlibs here, so I honestly wouldn’t recommend it if you’re a beginner. See just how useless me buying the raws was??? Anyway, you do you. If you’re a Nakajima Yoshiki fan, by all means, listen to this. It’s safe to say that he was the one who carried this work on his shoulders mostly.  👌

BLCD Review: Koubutsu wa Mayonaka no Uchi ni Hara no Naka

I assigned the colors based on their first appearances, so even though Noah and Kazui appears in Kossori while Rentarou, Yuuji-san, Yasuda, and Naochika in Mayonaka no Uchi, they’re only in yellow. Yuuji-san changes his last name to Takinami after his marriage to Rentarou, but since he and Naochika gets married and drops their maiden names in Mayonaka no Uchi, I kinda felt bad about not keeping it for at least Yuuji-san.

Man, I didn’t know that Mero was Naochika and Yasuda-san’s son. 😂 He’s quite the problematic character despite having the least problematic parents out of all of the second/third gen of characters. But well, after listening to the third installment, I think I can see why he turned out like that. It’s confirmed, y’all. The parents in this series are the worst. They were all obviously too busy fucking each other to take care of their children properly which is why they all turned out like how they did. Also, I can’t with how the parents treat their kids like they don’t really exist and are no big deal! I still have no idea how time and aging works in their mangaverse, but at this point, I’m too tired to even understand it. I just know that almost all of the bottoms here are at least twenty years older than their prospective tops because majority of them work with/are in the same industry the said top’s parents. 

The third installment is considerably better than the second one, but only because Naochika and Yasuda-san’s relationship isn’t that bad unlike the others. I enjoy Yasuda-san’s domesticity and how he spoils Naochika in this installment. Naochika’s jealousy wasn’t that annoying and Isami and his fiance’s presence was honestly forgettable anyway. However, fuck Masachika’s toxicity and entitlement. I did like how Grim had a backbone, but I wouldn’t really recommend dating and eventually marrying your rapist, boy. As for Yuuji-san and Rentarou—I can’t believe that Yuuji-san got pregnant with Masachika when Rentarou was still in fucking school. IT MAKES ME SO ANGRY. Like, I know this is porn and all, but yo, come on! If this doesn’t scream Mary Kay Letorneau case to you, I don’t know what to say to you. No wonder ya boy turned out to be like that smh.

Anyway, moving onto the voice work.

what a brilliant performance. If you’ve read my April Releases post, you’d know that I was skeptical about Maeno bottoming and to an entirely unfamiliar man at that. Once he appeared in track one, I was completely blown away. He does not sound like a rookie. I looked him up while listening to the BLCD and my oh my, my surprise at the find that he was the one who voiced Miki in Saishuu Densha last year! This is the kind of improvement I wish everyone would have when I say that they all just need a little more practice. Mans probably did some amazing training this past year to get this good. I mean, despite the rapist that Masachika was, he definitely did work that Maeno Tomoaki ass real good yo. Miyauchi really should’ve considered making Kudou carry their child. 😂 Hello, Noah-san? I also like his tone because it’s a little similar to Kondo Takashi and Sakurai Takahiro’s which you really don’t see much with the new gens.  I hope that he lands more roles in BLCDs and in the general industry because he has immense potential. This man is going to be a great seke majoring in semes, I tell you.

As for Maeno, YOOOOOOOOOOO!!! IT’S BEEN TEN YEARS SINCE THE LAST TIME I’VE HEARD HIM BOTTOM!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Nobody talks about Ore Dake Minaito xx Shichauzo where Ayumu tops Maeno in this house 😤 As I’ve stated earlier, I was more skeptical about Maeno bottoming than Masachika’s casting because I didn’t really like how Maeno bottomed back in Dolce. He’s been a seme for so long, that I even forgot that that was a thing. 😂 But what the heck, there were even times where I was forgetting that Maeno was Grim while I was listening to the BLCD. What did I even expect from a veteran? Petition for more Maeno bottom roles! PETITION FOR OKITSUMAENO

The real reason why I listened to this BLCD is because Miyake Kenta was in it. Y’all know how I’m trash for the first gens. 😩 Also, if y’all read my review for Kossori, I said that I wished that they would’ve just showed us a glimpse of Naochika and Yasuda-san’s relationship after the events of Kossori because I really did like their story to an extent. Yasuda-san and Naochika might be the only couple here who are close in age (Noah and Kazui’s ages are a bit hard to determine) and everything was pretty mutual between the two of them (Noah and Kazui’s relationship is too sketchy honestly). Back on topic, I’m quite surprised to find that Shirai Yuusuke voiced Naochika. I thought that Ichiban Saigo was released back in like 2013, so that threw me in for a loop. I can clearly remember that Miyake Kenta and Shirai Yuusuke’s performance in the first installment was great so that just goes to show that Shirai Yuusuke already had it even back when he started. Here’s to hoping Shirai Yuusuke gets cast in more roles more comfortable for his pitch and Miyake Kenta stays in the BL industry longer. 😭😭😭

I don’t have much to say about Makonyan and Tamaru Atsushi because they didn’t have enough screen time for me to judge them and I didn’t really care for their characters. 😂 You know, after Naochika and Yasuda-san, I also did kind of, umm, find their story in Ichiban Saigo appealing, but looking back at it now, I really regret thinking that. 😂 Man, 2017 was just three years ago. How could I have been such an...an enabler??? I don’t know what to say. *sigh* See you boys in Given but I really don’t want to face Ugetsu anymore. 👋

I did not and probably will never read the raws for this series, so I cannot vouch for it’s accuracy to the original manga. Though, I am confused as to why no one has ever translated it. I mean, it hasn’t been licensed to my knowledge, and I’m sure there are a lot of people who like this stuff—oh wait nvm. I hope it never gets translated and licensed. As an adaptation, in regards to voice work, this was great. The casting is also better than Kossori imo. I would not recommend listening to this even if you’re gen 1 trash like me. If y’all want to hear to some nekomimi action, I would just suggest listening to Sakyo Aya’s nekomimi bois instead. Kuroneko is Maeno x Kondo Takashi and Fukigen Kare is Kawahara Yoshihisa x Hirakawa Daisuke y’all!!!
