Summary: Sundance and Cedric go to Lois' old apartment to go through her files and photographs to erase any evidence of Sundance's identity and see if there is anything useful to GWOV.  The details of Sundance's past come to light, and she finds out she is related to Cedric through a series of emails between their mothers.  They also discover photographs from Sundance's past, news of her father's suicide, the story of how Lois broke ties with her family and manipulated her way into power/manipulated Sundance, files regarding what Lois discovered/knew of the mysterious Tartarus family and a password locked laptop that they decided would be better off in K's capable hands.

Characters: Cedric, Contessa

Summary: Instead of kicking Monarch out of her base when he is knocked unconscious, Contessa locks him in the dungeons. Just after Janice’s brainwashing, they have a (non-canon) conversation. Contessa reveals that she is Cedric’s aunt. They have an extended debate about morality and the way Contessa treats her daughter. Chess metaphors are involved.

RP Summary: How to Save a Soul

Characters: Caleb, Cedric, and Cecily

Content warnings: Surgery (mention), Abuse (mention), alcohol

Summary: Caleb, Cedric, and Cecily meet up (out of costume) at a local bar to discuss how to deal with Sundance’s brainwashing. Caleb and Cedric fill Cecily in on Sundance’s history. They discuss a few possible solutions, but end up disagreeing when Caleb proposes taking advantage of the fact that Sundance still has feelings for them. Cedric thinks this is dubious at best, and Cecily is downright against it. Things end on a tense note as Caleb is outvoted and the group decides to seek out a safer solution.

RP Summary: She Doesn't Think I'm That Fucking Dumb, Does She?

Characters: Cedric, Janice, and Contessa (feat. Stronghold, Mercury, and Crusader)

Content warnings: Abuse

Summary: Cedric and Janice continue to work on their wall of notes at the safehouse, in the absence of anything else to do. Suddenly, they are interrupted by Mercury, one of the supers working for Contessa. Before they can stop her, Mercury teleports Janice to an unknown location, accidentally bringing Cedric along for the ride. Contessa is none too pleased with his presence, and they argue for a while while Janice becomes increasingly uncomfortable. Eventually, after two henchmen’s failures, Contessa manages to get Stronghold to knock Cedric unconscious, leaving Contessa and Janice alone to talk. This is not good news for anyone.
