CROWNING SPECIES
As promised at 10 followers we are going to give you a taste of our species! We are super excited about the species we have to offer here on Crowning Glory. Some of our species you may recognize and others you may not. Here are little snippets of the species that will be offered.
01 ELEMENTALS; Elemental beings have two forms, their larger humanoid figure completely shrouded in their respective element and then their human form. These beings can be sorted into 6 different classifications, with names that we have put a little spin on. Light – Lumis | Air – Sylph | Water – Undine | Fire – Magmus | Earth – Gnome | Darkness – Umbre | In both of their forms Elementals are able to control their elements but it is much harder in their human forms and usually only extremely talented or elder elementals are able to have a high control of it. it is believed that because elementals are beings of nature that as long as nature exists they can exist, and will only die if outside forces interfere.
02 MERFOLK; The merfolk people have been divided into two kingdoms: those that prefer to live underwater and those that prefer to live on land. Despite that all merfolk have the capability to morph between legs and fins, there is a noticeable divide between the two masses where those that live underwater consider themselves superior to those that live on land. It is this inter-prejudice that has caused tension between the merfolk species. But when push comes to shove they all follow their Empress and are loyal to their own kind.
03 FAERIES; Faeries have two forms their human sized form and their tiny form. In their tiny form they have four wings sprouting from their back. They have two kingdoms as well reflecting their size, the human sized kingdom, which everyone knows about, and a secret hidden tiny kingdom in which they can only fit with in their true faerie form. Faeries derived a lot of their power from nature and are generally weaker creatures when they aren’t among nature. They do need to recharge their powers monthly by heading back to nature at least once a month.
04 HYBRIDS; Hybrids are powerful creatures; taking on the characteristics from two species makes them this way. In place of classifications hybrids have dominant traits. That is not to say which species will be dominant in an offspring as we leave that up to the player’s discretion. Instead it is the innate traits that one species would pass on to their hybrid child. Shifter - Shift, Speed Elemental - Inherits control over specific element of parent, no variation Fairy - Shrinking, Seasonal power Mermaid - Breath underwater
05 SHIFTERS; Shifters are born with the ability to shift into any animal, but around the age of ten the animal form of any given person stabilizes, and becomes permanent, usually reflecting the person’s personality, but not always. Shifters are not immortal creatures but they do have an extended lifespan. The oldest shifter on record is 208 years old. When shifters hit the age of about 25 they don’t usually begin to age again till they are roughly 80 years old. They don’t age all at once but gradually over time and roughly around their 150th year they are considered old for a shifter and usually look about mid 30s to late 40s if you stand them next to Fates.
06 VAMPIRES; Vampires are faster and stronger than most other creatures, they can see in the dark and they do not need to breathe, sleep or blink as often as other species, or at all for that matter. Some do so to make those around them more comfortable if they want to, but most rarely do. When injured a vampire can usually regenerate quickly unless they are in a very weakened state. Vampires typically have “darker” abilities, they have been known to be able to control things like pheromones, which is why they can be so alluring, pain, and shadows. So any ability akin to that within reason would be acceptable for a vampire to have.
07 FATES; Fate classes are as follows: Lightlings - when a fate has reached the highest level of sight. What this means is that after years of strenuous practicing, a fate is capable of choosing ‘when’ they see and can call their visions on demand. These visions come with complete clarity and understanding. In rare instances a fate can be a born lightling. Darklings - are fates which had succumbed to their bad visions growing mad after seeing far too many ‘dark’ things or have pushed their mind to the breaking point and instead of reaching lightling status have hit the other side of the spectrum. They have even less control over their visions than neutral fates and their visions can often be twisted and incomprehensible. Neutral - a neutral fate is exactly that, middle of the road, no control over when they have visions and not able to completely understand them. This is what the majority of fates are. These fates mind frames can be swayed towards being a darkling or a lightling and it all just depends on the person.
