I do a bit of both.
Burning Low had PB saying she was the one who had FP trapped in the Lantern, but what was missing was the circumstances behind it. And thus Burning Low -aftermath- was born... until Earth and Water came about (but that hardly affected the comic's interpretation of events). In here, I help fill in the blanks.
In the trilogy of The Lich, Finn the Human and Jake the Dog, Billy's death was shown but hardly given prominence so I gave honor to the character by showing his death in The Lich -prologue- and Finn and Jake visiting Billy's former home to pay their respects in Jake the Dog -aftermath-. In here, I added something more.
