Just like always, he found himself alone and in desperate need of company. Any, really. Perhaps he could attempt visiting one of the friends he'd managed to accumulate. Hm. After a brief fifteen minutes of getting ready-- filled with packing enough food for the day, two waterskins and several Fortune tickets. Just in case, obviously. He equipped himself with his sheath and his sword, sheathing it at his waist in case he ended up somewhere he couldn't access his inventory. He found himself in the last stretch of darkness between the fourth wall within the hour, hand brushing against the wall to count the holes. He never usually used the left side... Hm. Perhaps he should experiment and check one of them out. He picked one out three from where the holes began before dropping down into it. There was only the void of the Nothingness for a couple moments before his boots touched ground. When his senses returned, a waft of something rotting hit him. Not too badly due to his impaired senses, but it was still there. When he inspected the source, he found himself in the decrepit remains of Zone Three. It looked... Well, frankly terrible. The buildings were in disrepair, there was some sort of sludge in places, hardened and cracked as it remained adhered to surfaces for-- eugh, who knew how long? What the hell happened here? When he recognized the distinct buzzing of flies, he grew uneasy. There shouldn't be insects here. Something was undoubtedly wrong, and he needed to get the hell out. He peeked at the pipes in the plastic, stepping forward to the edge of the metal platform to test them. Unfortunately for him, they seemed to be too far decayed and only busted under the tentative pressure he placed with his boot. Fuck. It seemed his only choice was the furnace, but thankfully there seemed to be a gaping hole in it, so he wouldn't have to jump from the top. He'd probably have much rathered drowning himself in the plastic than to jump from such a height. Nevertheless, he ascended the steps and entered the hole. It only seemed to get worse when he delved deeper-- the sludge was thicker and more abundant. In fact, he had to begin stepping on it, due to it littering too much of the floor to avoid. Upon further inspection of his surroundings, it was clear his only source of advancement was to go through the sewers. EUGH. Upon hauling himself through, he dropped a good five feet, nearly ending up on the floor if not for his surprisingly graceful fall. Lucky for him that he didn't-- there was no clear floor anywhere. There didn't seem to be a car on the monorail, either. He seemed so lucky today-- it was sickening. He dropped down as carefully as he could manage, grimacing when he felt his boots sink into a couple inches of the fetid substance, beginning to trudge onward. In all honesty, he wasn't sure how this could get worse.
