How would monster reagan react to a child walking up to him and not being afraid to pat his nose or something?
Reactions can vary depending on Reagan's current state of mind, but presuming this is one of his better days, Monster Reagan would simply

LMFAO (for @crowscanread)
Me when MLTS:
AHSJDHSJDJSKSJDHKSHDGSHXBEUDBDKS I F*CKING LOVED CHAPTER 28!!!
Reagan, you little rat bastard, you have no idea how much I missed your stupid face lol love you too, Dante! GOD I love their dynamic so much. Seeing Reagan have his little character development moment as time goes on, it's delightful
My calendar has been marked for Oct 31st I can't wait
Huahuahaua Reagan's development is sure to be a good one - and i don't wanna brag but the battle chapter is definitely one of my favorites to write. Not trying to hype it up or anything but it was a lot of fun, and i can only hope you guys will enjoy what I have in store. I'd say, we're only on arc 1 of Always Gold. The battle marks the start of arc 2. We have a long way to go from here and so many twists and turns i can't wait to show hehehe
What has been your favorite scene and/or chapter that you've written in the entirety of MLTS?
Mine has got to be MLTS Breaking point part 1-3 (I cried so goddamm much lol)
You got it, bro. The breaking point trilogy (chapters 23-25 of MLTS) was the culmination of everything the original My little test subject fic is. Chapter 25 especially I consider to be my magnum opus, and i hold it very dear and close to my heart for obvious reasons.
There are many other noteworthy moments too. Tom and Tord finally confessing, Reagan's reckoning, the final chapter of My little test subject (not to be confused with the epilogue), the border patrol massacre, the meeting between leaders, and a special upcoming chapter in Always Gold ;)
But yes, by my favorite piece to write by far is chapter 25 of MLTS
When was the last time someone gave Reagan a genuine hug? (As of recently, man seems like he needs one deep down, like really really deep down lol). Follow up. How would he react if Dante just gave him a hug?
I'm not sure he's ever been hugged. If he has, it's been a long while. Probably since Ted if I had to guess. Or Ella, but I hardly think Reagan cared much for it. If Dante were to hug him... Reagan would remain stiff and uncomfortable. He is touch starved but he'll never admit to it. Reagan still has a long way to go before he can start accepting affection from others sadly
Two questions: How do you stay motivated when writing longer stories? And how do you handle burnout? (writing is hard lol)
It is, I agree with you on that haha ;)
The answer might actually disappoint you, so... sorry in advance - but idk I just get an idea and I wanna stay til the end because i am so excited about reaching the checkpoints. The daydreaming hinders me, but it also keeps me motivated to see the scenes in my head come to life. Of course when ti comes to fanfics the comments and feedback help tremendously, but currently i am writing original content in order to get it published someday... and let me tell yah it is hard. I have no feedback whatsoever, I am just... going with the flow y'know? So it takes a lot of discipline to keep going even though you are your only audience at the moment. Make playlists, moodboards, write down all your ideas. You started writing a chapter and wanna erase your progress? Save it. Open a separate document and save everything you scrap. You never know if something you wrote might be salvageable for future reference.
Burnout is a bitch, not gonna lie. But if you find yourself with foggy brain, hating the thing you're writing, and with no motivation whatsoever; take a step back, take a deep breath, and go do something else. Go take a walk, spend time with your family, go to the movies and have some popcorn - take as much time off as you need, and above all else CONSUME OTHER ART FORMS. Be it a movie, a tv show, a book, or even a video game, it is going to help you a lot in the long run because it might be just the thing that dislodges you from burnout. Friendly reminder; it's also just good to take breaks!
What I'm trying to say is that, art is purely subjective. Despite your best attempts, it will never be perfect. You just gotta trust the process and have fun with it. If you feel like it's become more of a chore than it's worth and you are slogging through to get chapters done, then you gotta ask yourself if it is really worth continuing, for your own sanity. If the answer is yes, then go for it! Trust the process and have fun! ;D
I hope this was in any way helpful, and good luck!
No question, just god speed Matt and Tom o7 (also F*CKIN LOVED chapter 27! You never cease to amazing me with how well you write tense scenes. Almost cried like twice TvT Keep up the great work <3)
Thank you so much! <3 Will our favorite duo be able to make it time and stop the war once and for all? I wonder
But seriously though thank you for your support and kind words, I really appreciate it <3
What advice or tips would you give someone who wants to get back into writing?
Read. Pick up a book you’ve been wanting to read and have postponed it until now and read like your life depends on it. Reading is a good way to motivate yourself and learn some new vocabulary for your own writing, and to me personally it just all around inspires me to write my own stuff.
Create a playlist. Make moodboards. Daydream about it. If you can visualize anything from your story that’s already a good start. “Ah but what if i daydream too much and procrastinate on actually writing?” I hear you say. Its okay! Sometimes daydreaming gives us the best and most unexpected solutions to writers block.
Make an outline for your story. If you have an idea, or ideas, but don’t know what to do with them I highly recommend writing them down on a list and then making a timeline of sorts. What do you want each chapter to contain, what their purpose in serving the story forward, and what order to they come in. I do this to get a better understanding of what each chapter is supposed to represent so I don’t get lost along the way. You can space out like; one chapter is character driven, the next is plot driven, then go back to character development, and then the next could be dedicated to world building. Its all a matter of pacing!
Write all of your ideas down. Yes, even the ones you have in the shower. Take your phone with you and write it down somewhere cause YOU’RE NOT GOING TO REMEMBER IT. I am telling you now; write everything down.
Yup! That’s about everything I have. Other than these tips, just wing it.
