Inspired by #coralinethorne’s Thrushpelt family tree, didn’t draw NightSun kits as organising the family tree was a headache for me and my own ocs kept demanding too much attention

seeing as you are doing Blackstar's family tree alongside Hal, here are my upcoming predictions:
Blackstar is going to be an S/S homozygote with the Snowfur colorpoint trick, but he will be sepia rather than mink due to him having yellow eyes
Blizzardwing is going to be an S/S homozygote as well in addition to being a non-dilute silver ticked tabby, hence being 'mottled white'
Scorchwind will either end up ginger or cinnamon mackerel tabby based on your comment in YF family tree where you said you were going to make her torbie
Idk if you are going to cover Fernshade and her kit Badgerfang, but if u do, he'd probably be another S/S kitty
Either Hollyflower or Blizzardwing will get ginger as their kiddo Fernshade is tortie
We shall see how right you are >83c
Saw these kitties whilst coming back home two days ago, so cute, the cat in the second seems classic right?
OOO CUTE!! I love high-contrast gingers <33 yep, the 2nd baby is for sure classic!
Here are my predictions for Yellowfang ft: Brackenfoot is going to be a cinnamon tabby mink point, Brightflower a carnelian classic tabby hiding tortie and Brokentail a very low rufoused mackerel tabby
let's see if ur right :3c
Here is my dog oc family, top left to right: Abigail, Owen, Olga and Audrey, try to see if you can solve their genes
YOO SICK!!!! hmmm it'd help to know their relationships.......
Abigail looks albino w/point! Owen looks blue but the nose is black, so I'm going to assume progressive gray merle rather than dilute? Ogla looks recessive red merle, and Audrey looks merle point w/some white :3
either it is photoshopped, or a very weird looking calico or chimera with the oddest white spotting, wanted to send you the video but unfortunately couldn't
YO SICK... I wonder what's going on here :O it does strike me as crazy white spotting, chimerism, or a point mutation. thnx!
Can thick furred shorthair smoke cats have a similar pattern to longhairs? And do all longhairs display the typical silvery fur on their necks or can they also display ghost striping if thin furred?
Oh easily!! Smoke patterns between long/shorthair cats isn't actually to do with their genetic fur length. Both long/shorthairs have exactly the same ghosting, but longhairs hairs are long so they get all blurry & hard to see the pattern! Shave a longhair smoke, they'll look like a shorthair while it's growing back :3
Are dingoes genetics same as dogs? Because I noticed how their colours seem pretty similar to some dog breeds
What dingos are is pretty hotly debated, but while current research seems to suggest they're descendants of domestic dogs, we have no idea to what extent to categorize their speciation (or lackthereof)...
There's a much more complicated answer in here somewhere, esp given I'm right off the back of a long rant in another ask about how "species" doesn't exist, but I think it'd be reasonably realistic to assume dingos have the same color genetics as dogs tbh :3
tho obviously not every dog allele is represented in the dingo genepool. which is a fancy way of saying that, even if red/black etc passed on in dingos the same way as it did for dogs, you're not exactly going to find harlequin dingos in the wild XD
