This time 3 years ago there were feelings of fear, the unknown and of course excitement. We were about to open a little nail bar in a fairly neglected part of South Croydon A part of Croydon that didnt fall into the Croydon Bid or The Purley Bid which meant we were in a place called No Mans Land. Street lights didnt all work, streets were cleaned weekly (if you were lucky) bins were collected rarely and parking was a challenge. We launched on Thursday 14th April to a full house filled with lovely guests and so our story began. In those three years we have welcome thousands of men and women into Queen B, many have become regulars and many have become friends. We are humbled by the love and support we have received. Through working with a few key members of Croydon Council and getting to know the leaders of both The Croydon and Purley Bids, we have helped get things moving to ensure our little part of Croydon gets a little bit more love. (Yes we are still in no mans land, but we do like being a bit different) We must say a huge thank you to Carol Squires and Keith Miller who have pointed us in the right direction as well as many Councillors and MPs for Croydon that have helped make our little area a little bit prettier and cleaner. Parking is still a challenge but we live in hope :) Tomorrow (Thursday) we kick off a whole weekend of celebrations as we celebrate our 3rd birthday.
