finally wrote up my intro for this bb yay! this is miss adelaide grimaldi, princess of monaco, however she has a bunch of brothers who have tons of kids so like she aint ever gonna get the throne lmao. under the cut is all about her, so if you wanna plot, just lmk!
she’s the youngest child and only daughter of the grimaldi family, meaning she’s been dotted on from the time she was a little girl.
even though it was a known fact that she’d most likely never get the throne, adelaide was raised just as her male siblings were, taught royal protocol and expected to act just as they did.
and while her brothers easily stepped into their royal roles as they got older, adelaide had a hard time.
she was always the black sheep of the family and didn’t exactly fit into the royal mold that her family had tried so desperately to squeeze her into.
she wasn’t bad, but she did enjoy having fun, stealing boats from her parent’s docs with all of her friends and throwing parties in the palace while her parents were away. she just wanted to be normal and her parents were incredibly strict with her, always enforcing that royals didn’t get to be normal.
however, she spent all of her teenage years craving that, so as soon as she turned eighteen, knowing that she’d never inherit the throne and refusing to stick around and allow her parents to force her to marry someone else from nobility, she picked up and left and began traveling the world, having a good time on various islands, living in european cities and doing humanitarian work here and there in poorer countries.
now, she’s decided to temporarily settle down for a bit in new york city, having spent most of the past ten years on the go, and will be teaming up with various charities and organizations in the city.
though she’s incredibly kind and charismatic, she’s also naive and stubborn. she believes that she knows the best for herself and the answers to everything, even though she hasn’t got a clue.
she tries to act ‘grounded’ and ‘normal’ but you’d never catch her wearing something that isn’t designer or without diamonds in her ears or around her neck.
when it comes to love, she refuses to marry nobility or for money like so many royals do. she’s a hopeless romantic and truly believes in fairytales. she’s very picky and has only had about two serious boyfriends in her life, one from her teenage years and one in her early twenties, but none since then because of how picky she is.
she believes in the good in the world and is naive to the bad, simply because she hasn’t experienced a lot of that.

so lennox is originally from london, and she lived there until she was 21-ish. her family is pretty basic af; mom, dad, older sister (who is way more successful than her).
she moved to nyc after leaving london because of several reasons: the expectations her parents had on her, the pressure to follow in her sister’s footsteps, to get away from ‘posh’ society, which ironically enough is what she’s gotten into in nyc.
speaking of falling into the high society of nyc, it’s only because of her connections. she’s a v sociable person, makes lots of connections and manipulates people into giving her the things she wants for the most part. she is very selfish too, which winds up making her look very materialistic and shallow.
while working as a waitress to make ends meet isn’t necessarily ideal (shh, don’t tell her parents) she makes it work, and that’s what she tells everyone. she is surprisingly well paid. she does work at a 5-star restaurant, and the opportunity sort of fell into her lap, and while the job itself doesn’t pay for all of her expenses, she has other means of paying for things, it is a start, or so she tells people.
so in conclusion, she’s a waitress, can afford everything in her life (which obviously is in direct relation to her secret), and she lies to people about it all, because while she desperately hates when other people judge, she’s so afraid of what people would think of her if they knew the real her, aka why she has a secret in the first place.
