OK here it is, I am running a wither deck, my opponent is running a he proof combo of an aegis of the gods, and an enchantment that is making his creatures unable to be the target of spells or abilities, but my enchantments states that I may destroy a creature with a -1/-1 counter, is he protected?

Crumbling Ashes’ trigger does target the creature it would destroy, so you can’t target a creature with hexproof or shroud, sorry.
