“Huh? Are you alright?”
The despair remnant looked down at the boy gripping her hand, a bit confused as to why he was so scared. She recognized him, of course - A member of the infamous Warriors of Hope, more followers of Junko. Still, despite having a common leader, she’d never gotten to know these kids herself, but from what she’d heard, they massacred adults... Those rumors were hard to believe when this kid was clutching onto her hand so tightly, almost hiding behind her.
Even after devoting her life to despair, Mahiru couldn’t help but feel protective over the boy (thank god they were on the same side). What in the hell could’ve scared one of Junko’s followers this much? Did somebody try to hurt him? Had the Future Foundation stooped low enough to go after children...? And they claimed to be the heroes... Whatever the reason, she felt she needed to get him to safety, far away from whatever had threatened him.
“Come on, let’s get you somewhere safe.”
