Are shigs and Hawks in a relationship?

Yes. Or they will be soon. Or at least Hawks is clearly going to fall in love when he meets Tomura because, holy shit fam, have you seen this boy???? Hawks never stood a chance. RIP pigeon boy.

Okay more seriously, they’re not, but I love gushing about shigahawks any chance I can get because although I breathe and live for shigadabi, Hori is setting up the relationship between Shigaraki and Hawks to be one of the most compelling in the entire story (or at least that’s the vibes I get, don’t let me down, Hori).

They have the exact same backstory but in reverse. They were both abandoned and left behind by society, both picked up by people who wanted to train them and use them for something, except it was AFO for Tomura and the heroes for Hawks. It HAS to be addressed one way or another. There’s also the build up! Hawks entire meeting with Dabi was just Hawks asking to meet Tomura and Dabi refusing because he doesn’t trust him enough yet (which by the way … jealous protective Dabi, am I right ladies?)

So when they DO meet, oh boy it’s going to be good. Especially because Tomura obviously 100% knows that Hawks is a double agent there is not even a single doubt about that. Tomura would NEVER trust a hero, but he is a 5/5 smart boy who knows he can use him. And from that my friend, we have a god tier ship.

Imagine!!! The cat mouse game!!! Hawks wondering if Tomura knows and Tomura playing with him!!! The cryptic discussions late at night!!! Hawks being both fascinated and repulsed by Tomura!!! Hawks wanting to get close to the sun and burning his wings!!! The two of them maybe having ONE genuine heart to heart talk when they both realize their similarities and acknowledge that neither of them really chose their path and that things could have been reverse quit easily!!! Imagine the beginning of the attraction and Hawks hating himself for it, and Tomura using it against him!!! Hawks maybe thinking he can “save” Tomura, but the whole thing ending in pain and disaster …

Because yeah, there’s no happy ending for this ship. There isn’t even a happy ending for Hawks honestly, the dude is going to die and Tomura will be his demise. But before it eventually goes down to dust, I hope we get some great canon interactions that will get more people to write, draw and talk about shigahawks! Like … I don’t even like Hawks (that much) and I’m still all aboard this ship!!!

Okay, so no offense but I still don’t get h*t w*ngs at all, like I really don’t see the appeal especially compared to other ships like shigadabi or hawksdevor.

However.

Tomura and Hawks? ShigaHawks? Crusty Wings? Decay Feathers?

SIGN ME THE FUCK UP

I’m completely bewildered to see the fandom sleeping on this ship??? I know I shouldn’t be surprised because the fandom sleeps on Tomura in general. But here we have shipping GOLD let me explain.

First of all the build up. Right now in canon, Hawks’ main goal and objective are Shigaraki Tomura. Like, the rest of the league and Dabi don’t seem to matter as much. His entire interaction with Dabi was all about meeting Tomura! Why does everyone sleep on that? I already made a post about how it was great shigadabi content (protective boyfriend Dabi calling Tomura “boss”) but that’s great Shigahawks content as well! And I've already talked about how Tomura obviously knows that Hawks is a double agent and is going to use him and play him. So they haven’t even met yet and they’re already in each other’s thoughts, thinking and scheming about each other ... I dig it.

And then the meeting oh my god.

I mentioned before that I don’t care much about Hawks because he is very bland and forgettable to me, but the one thing I’m genuinely excited is how Horikoshi is going to explore the parallels between Tomura and him. I’m sure you all noticed by now, but they have almost the exact same backstory, and that is definitely on purpose. Again, they didn’t even meet yet, and they are already mirroring each other, completing each other almost. One is a Hero and one is a Villain, but none of them chose to be. Do you see the potential here????

And most importantly, do you the potential for spy romance? Forbidden romance? Conflicted romance??? I want that. I want Tomura who perfectly knows that Hawks is a double agent but still accept to meet him because he knows he can use him to destroy hero society once and for all. I want Hawks being fascinated by Tomura because he never imagined the leader of the LOV would be his age, maybe younger... I want the two of them talking alone in cryptic words, playing a game of cat and mouse because Tomura knows but Hawks is not sure he knows. But Tomura is on top of the game because he would never trust a hero, so when Hawks try to ask something he just smiles like “Aw that’s cute.” But I also want Tomura actually feeling weird things because he realizes that he could have had the same life as Hawks and he is not sure how he feels about that ... I want hawks questioning who is Shigaraki exactly ... wondering how such a young man became so broken and lost. Maybe even considering that he has a point ... maybe even slowly realizing how flawed and fucked up their society is, and he is not going to become a villain, but maybe he can try to help Tomura in one way or another? And I want Tomura slowly getting used to Hawks and his clumsy attempts at getting info, and beginning dread the moment he will have to kill him.

And imagine ... Imagine the two of them getting closer, but Hawks can’t get anything from Tomura so maybe he tries another angle and actually tries to seduce him. And Tomura clearly sees what’s happening, but Hawks is kind of cute I guess so he plays along. And wow, kissing is actually nice, but it’s business and no feeling, haha we’re sure about that. But one night after sex and another unsuccessful attempt to get info, Tomura had a nightmare about his past, his father and AFO, and he actually wakes up in tears and panic but Hawks is right next to him ... and they have this weird moment when Hawks actually tries to comfort him for a minute by kissing him and being soft, and for a minute, Tomura lets him. Of course, when he realizes what’s happening, he gets angry and flustered and storms off ... And they both FEEL WEIRD AND CONFLICTED BECAUSE THEY BOTH PLAIN TO KILL EACH OTHER AT SOME POINT AND THIS FEELING BULLSHIT IS DANGEROUS, WILL SOMEONE PLEASE WRITE A FIC?????

So in conclusion, H*t W*ngs is dead in this house we stan Shigahawks and yall should too you cowards ...

And just by precaution, don’t come at me saying “but consider hot crusty wings though” because it’s not what I’m talking about right now. It’s a good ot3, I dig it, but it’s not what I want. What I want is a specific focus on the relationship between Hawks and Tomura without Dabi.
