A Lover in Two Worlds
Tendrokos paces around his home, his footsteps echo and vibrate throughout the erie and quiet house. He seems to be thinking, thinking hard about something.
A cup of hot tea sits on his desk, untouched. After a long time of pacing, he stops, his eyes looking towards the tea. He walks slowly to his desk, grabbing the cup and lifting it to his face. It was a basic green tea, the steam drifted off and rolling around his face. He takes a deep breath of the hot steam, and takes a small sip.
He sets it down and walks over to the window, staring out upon the quiet city. Being early morning, most people were still asleep, enjoying the comforts of a warm bed.
Tendrokos sighs, wishing he could get some sleep. But he had been unable to sleep peacefully, his mind has been filled with thoughts of Lady Amariesse.
Amariesse, his passion for her was more than he had ever expected! Why does he feel this way? He hair, locks of blond flows down to her shoulder like a golden waterfall, her posture, like someone of high social status. Her eyes! Those doorways to the soul! they glow and shine whenever he look upon them! But the one thing he really loves about her is her personality, the way she is caring, sweet, and respectful. All at the same time!
Tendrokos stops his train of thought as he realizes why her loves her so much. Everything about her reminds him of someone else he had once loved. Thessali.
Suddenly his happy and loving mood takes a fatal turn as he thinks back to his past lover. Tears begin to gleam in his eyes, remembering the last time he had seen her. He reaches his had up to his neck, and takes out a necklace hidden under his robe. It was small, but big enough to make out a figure of a silver women, looking as if she was spinning. Small silver lines surrounded her, adding to the effect. When he touched it, the necklace began to glow white. Like it had magical properties.
He collapses into the nearest chair, unable to keep himself standing as he mind floods with thoughts of both her and Amariesse. A mix of old and new love flows together in the same river. Passion and grief clash together, fighting for the control of his mind.
After a long period of time, he finally returns to a normal state of mind, releasing the necklace and slipping it back under his robe. He gets up slowly, wishing for another drink of tea. He walks back to his desk, were his lukewarm tea was waiting for him.
As he drinks his tea, he thinks to himself; "Perhaps I will write to Amariesse later today, I miss her letters. Maybe she will need help setting up for the Winter Veil." He finishes his tea, and sets down the empty cup on his desk. "But first, I need some rest."
Tendrokos shuffles slowly to his bedroom, he can still feel the necklace humming, his mind still flooded with thoughts of Thessali. He reaches his bed, he undresses to only his underwear, and the necklace. He lays down on his bed, and sleep overtook him almost instantly.
As he drifts off, the necklace begins to fade, the humming slowed, and by the time he is asleep, the necklace was as cold and as quiet as the house. Leaving Tendrokos alone with his sadness.
