People could think that eventually Isaiah would grow tired of doing the same thing over and over again, he would constantly think that Anna’s mother was around him, like a shadow, expecting him to fail so she would take care of the only thing she had left of her precious daughter, since she didn’t know about Alexis. But he didn’t, even if being social wasn’t the best time of his life nowadays, he still considered himself comfortable while taking care of something that was so important to Anna. He was now at the country club one more time, watching as the last details for the wedding were being organized when his attention moved from the decoration to the man a few inches from them.
His lack of socia skills at the moment would tell him to stay where he was and pretend he hadn’t seen Ryder, but it was Ryder... so what was the problem? He had made a few steps closer when his phone rang, causing him to look at the screen and press the red button once the name of his mother appeared. “Ryder,” he finally said, raising his voice so the man could hear him as he was getting closer. “Once again seeing you here, I’ll start to think you like taking shifts at the same time I’ll be here. So you won’t lose the sight of me.”
