what if victor had an evil doppelganger. Not like, actually villanous per se, but more like Wario where his whole gimmick is being Victor but Evil. mostly just to fuck with victor and nothing more. Evictor is probably like, burgundy, or something.
I've had an idea of Straight-Fox and Heteronormative-Falco, aka another pair of mimics that take a very no-nonsense, straight forward adoption of Fox's and Falco's personalities and memories. They'd meet Victor and Vance and instead of any overt beef, they'd just kinda. Side-eye each other. Victor would make some joke about all Falcos liking men and Heteronormative-Falco would just go "i don't really concern myself with his sexuality." And there'd be this viscerally uncomfortable silence afterward.
I've considered Wario equivalents but I think the joke itself is that Victor and Vance are basically Warios of the real Falco and Fox anyway. So Warios for them would actually loop back around to Nintendo-Compliant readings of the originals.
The alternative was reworking a Sonic OC of mine, Luka, into a direct counterpart for Victor. For context, Luka is an angel-aligned exorcist who butts heads with my AU Tikal. Much of their conflict can neatly transfer over to my oc setting, so I've strongly considered it. He could still be a sonic oc and everything, like how Victor is a bootleg star fox character.

This is extremely true. Much of the fandom seems to have soured on Frontiers, and the DLC probably didn't help, but Modern Sonic has never had a "we're so fucking back" moment as potent as hearing Undefeatable play while doing DBZ shit to that first Titan
