This is the amazing Cryptoblepharus cognatus. These skinks live on the rocks along the shoreline of various landmasses around the Indian Ocean, and there has been some pretty awesome recent research showing how they dispersed across such vast distances (10.1098/rspb.2018.2575). They are very capable swimmers, even in saltwater.
