Nightmare - "The Wraith of the West"

Rider: Prince Dream, Heir to the throne of Orborus

"Long and serpentine, this particular dragon is noted for its dark green scales, cobra like frills and the rattle like end of its tail alongside its vibrant green-white flames- the beast snakes through the air not unlike how serpents swim through the seas, with terrifying speed and agility.

Named Nightmare by the crown prince of Orborus after being claimed by him, this dragon was once noted for its almost ceaseless acts of aggression towards the western cities and villages - hence its title as The Wraith of the West. In truth though, despite his violent and fierce reputation the dragon adapted well to life under human care and has been noted to be amongst the most amicable dragons within the kingdom - often being incredibly tolerant, even friendly on occasion to most people and the other dragons of the kingdom.

According to the prince and several others, the dragon has simply been misunderstood - misrepresented by the lords and common folk in the West, since supposedly the wyrm's anger was only brought about due to being continuously provoked into needing to defend itself. Thanks to this some believe this may be why the bond shared between Nightmare and the prince is perhaps the strongest ever witnessed - as they both sit under the shadows of their notorious reputations, forever haunted by treasonous lies that are far more appealing to most than the truth."

Sibyl - The Great Dread & Queen of the South

Rider - Technoblade

The oldest known dragon in the lands, Sibyl was a great beast whose wings tore the clouds of the sky asunder when she flew and her lumbering steps shook the foundations of even the greatest castles when she prowled about the ground according to the smallfolk of the empire.

With a twisted crown of horns and a forest of spines upon her back, her silhouette was jagged like that of mountain peaks or the depths of a dripstone cavern. Great tusks jutted from her jaws like that of a Northern Tusklin's, and it's said that her fangs were twice as long as the greatest of spears, while her fire cut through the neverending snow and ice of the south with ease, even melting the earth beneath it when something brought forth her ire.

Though she was once a more common sight, it's become a rarity to glimpse her for those even in the more remote reaches of the empire to witness her - let alone her rider. Both man and beast have stepped away from ruling the empire, leaving it in the hands of Emperor Philza - while supposedly the great Technoblade sought retirement or perhaps conquest elsewhere... No one knows for certain in the end, but it is said that if one spends a night in the frozen south and they're blessed by the gods, they might glimpse the great dragon whose shadow can plunge a city into darkness.

The first dragon reference of hopefully many for my still unnamed dragon rider AU!!! Imma try to write these outsider/history book style blurbs for all the dragons as well - to give kinda a feel for them and some lore hints (do take it with a grain of salt, since I'm writing these from general like historian perspective) - Sibyl was a slight challenge to work on but I'm pretty happy with her design over all!

Also as a sappy note, thanks to the people who've been leaving notes in the tags of my past works with this! The interest means more to me than I can really say <3

Ember - The Fireborn

Rider: Ser. Sapnap of house Halo

"While the saying of 'fire made flesh' is applicable to all fire-breathing dragons out of those under the yoke of the Kingdom of Orborus, Ember is perhaps the one who lives up to this saying the most. Noted for the sheer amount of fire she can produce in a single breath, as well as the heat of it, her moniker as 'The Fireborn' is a borderline given. That and her notable temper make her a fierce and very recognizable dragon amongst the ranks of the kingdom with a title to match.

It's also been noted that the dragon also has a... less than favourable reputation with the farmers and ranchers of the kingdom - seeing as she seems to take a habit of eating prized or beloved animals if given the chance to have at them. The dragon was even noted to have eaten the prince's horse, Spirit, not long after she had been claimed and brought to the Dragon Keep. Thus a great effort is put forward to keep her well fed and away from the local farmlands whenever possible,"

3/17 Dragons completed!!! Honestly Ember turned out really well, I'm REALLY proud of her wings, and I hope y'all like her :)! Generally I did my best to keep this very bold and fiery vibe to her, along with some subtle nods to red pandas for a fun little design choice!

IT'S DONE, I FINISHED IT!!! THIS IS THE FULL CAST LIST!!!! And it's important to note that while I've named almost every single character on the DSMP - most of them will probably be for name drops or smaller roles in the story, I can't promise full fledged content for everyone as this is a very Dream/XD centric project - regardless though I'm glad I got this done :)

Very very late night drawing but I don't care

Some DRAU content while I work on the massive list of everyone and their roles in the story/worldbuilding - featuring a scene I have in mind for a bit after Dream returns home, long story short for context Dream starts coercing Sapnap into going on flights with him and Nightmare in an attempt to start fixing their friendship. It originally starts as a game of chase, similar to the manhunts but eventually dulls down into daily flights over the capital's seas together. George eventually joins them as well but yeah :)

I may add a short-ish writing snipet later but for now I must sleep.
