Drew this meme after reading Crystal Age by @shimamom & Beyond the Quartz Walls by rfpetals (dunno if they have a Tumblr) on Namicomi. It was based on this old meme I saw floating around on the internet (Also, dunno the original source of that one).

Addendum: Extractors like Berthierine are definitely not gonna be favored very well by Gems (Houseki no Kuni & Crystal Age) & Promises (Beyond the Quartz Walls). Because they’re known to steal souls, they’d most likely be considered traitors (Gems from Hnk would conclude they work for the Lunarians | Gems from CA would think they’re sacrificing other Gems to save their own hide from Sinners | Promises would think they’re Sirens masquerading as other Promises)

Formula: Na7Ca(Al6Si6O24)(SO4)(S3) · H2O from lazurite, FeS2 from pyrite, CaCO3 from calcite, and CaMgSi2O6 from diopside

Color: Mainly blue (from lazurite), white (calcite) and metallic yellow (pyrite)

Hardness: 5.5

A metamorphic rock composed primarily of lazurite and various other minerals; it's name is from the Latin lapis (stone) and the Persian lazhward (blue). It has been used throughout the centuries as a semi-precious stone and crushed into powder to produce the ultramarine pigment. In Ancient Egypt, this stone was used in amulets and ornaments and in Ancient Rome, associated with royalty.
