My favourite part of these earrings is the rough agate crystal layer that I cut from a bigger piece found in the UK. They really sparkle but somehow I can't get the camera to convey it. There's lots of iridescence going on too with the Roman glass beads and the tiny fiery opals. And the focal - a cut ammonite fossil - one side has a real nice red ammolite sheen. I've used sterling silver to give them a rustic claw prong setting.
