When I first found these, I was going through the roof with excitement and could not pass this mini flame up! It is Dumortierite in Quartz from Brazil. I adore how the crystals cluster to look like flowers or snowflakes. It is a Aluminium Boro-Silicate mineral, it is pleochroic and forms in the orthorhombic crystal system, which allows for this fibrous look you see. The rough material from Peru has been used as an imitation to Lapis Lazuli at times.
