Francessa Messina Denaro - daughter of an Italian mafia godfather (Sent to kill Orfeusz but killed his brother instead since he's an identical triplet). Was killed by her family after they found out she didn't finish the job, but that was ten years after Florence was born.
Orfeusz Meadowes - Died in a "terrorist attack" sent by Francessa's family. The youngest Admiral in Polish Marines history. Loved his daughter a lot even though he barely saw her because of work
Zeus Meadowes - Florence's uncle, Orfeusz's identical triplet. He was the one Francessa killed, since she fell in love with Orfeusz and she knew that her family would kill her if she didn't do her job. She ran away with Orfeusz to Poland afterwards.
Tadeusz Meadowes - Part-time member of the Polish Land Army since he has a muscle disease, only living relative of Florence (well, used to be), raised her till she was 16. Taught her everything she knew and died protecting her from a machine gun
WORK:
"We women have got to have each others back, Phantom."
Julia Rothman - Leader of Florence's former organisation, SCORPIA. Was quite attached to Florence when she first came, since she saw "The Incident™" happen first hand. Was the one that ordered to take Florence and invited her to join the international criminal organisation. Florence was by far the most skilled and the youngest, so she became her favourite.
She gave Florence the nickname Phantom, which then evolved into the codename "The Phantom Sniper" after she did nearly all her sniping missions successfully without getting caught.
Professor Yermalov - her mentor at SCORPIA, was in charge of the martial arts unit, helped her become even better at stealth than she already was. She was quite attached to him and he was like a father to her even though most people at SCORPIA considered him rude and frightening.
Countess Cleo- Basilisk's mentor. Forced them to do everything and also was the one that made her anorexia get worse. Basilisk looked up to her but Cleo just saw her as just some other extra
Tigress - Mortal enemies, always competing but Tigress knows that Basilisk is better than her. She liked the challenge though
Carmen Sandiego - all will be revealed in cs-oc week prompt 7
Alex Rider - To be honest, they were best friends at SCORPIA. When she came, she became the youngest but earlier he was- so they bonded over being the youngest at the criminal organisation. Alex always respected Phantom and vice versa. When SCORPIA fell after Basilisk's experiment, and she saw Alex's face in the news after some kind of escape- even though she was brainwashed she knew she remembered him. She just didn't know who he was.
Firstly, she was paired with Tigress of all people and Coach Brunt knows both of them hate eachother! But does that stop her? Nope!
And secondly, this is a solo mission. She could've easily done this. A quick in and out for fucks sake but again no because Coach Brunt made Tigress her teammate so this will probably take 10 minutes or even more if they encounter fucking Carmen Sandiego.
Basilisk couldn't decide what was worse: her teammate or the lady in red. Honestly, she hated both of them with a burning passion so to her- they're on an equal level.
While she was quietly listening to music on an MP3 in V.I.L.E's jet, she could see Tigress pacing back and forth, presumably mulling over the plan.
It was pretty simple. Get into the Doge Museum in Venice, steal a suit of armour and get out. Not that big of a deal, well to her at least- she's studied the picture of the armour for a second and she's remembered how it looks like so she doesn't get mixed up.
One of The Cleaners turned around and looked at her. Feeling his cold stare, she looked up, caught his eye and nodded, face expressionless and indifferent. She hid her earphones and MP3 in one of her snake suit's many pockets. There were over 40 hidden- some bigger, some smaller. All closed with a magnetic zip only she could unlock.
The snake suit was called that, mainly because it was built to be like snake scales, slippery and easy to move in and of course- escape.
She had her dart gun in her holster, armed with darts filled with a deadly poison, lipophilic alkaloid batrachotoxin- incredibly rare since it came from an endagered species: the golden poison dart frog. How Dr Bellum acquired it, Basilisk has no clue since the frog's natural habitat is rainforests- and in the ones surrounding the academy, there are definitely no known poisonous creatures.
The serpent retracted her fangs and talons just as soon as she left the helicopter, feeling venom fill her veins. It wasn't lethal, but it was certainly harmful- and Tigress may be dangerous with only her talons, but Basilisk was equipped and told to kill all her life. See how the Red Thief handles that.
She smirked to herself and quickly parkoured across buildings in the dark of the night to the roof of the museum, making sure to tell Tigress to take care of cameras by going to the security room, of which she wasn't happy about.
"Why do I have to do the boring work while you sneak in and do the fun stuff?" She grumbled angrily towards Basilisk through their com-links. The serpent slid down onto windowsill, picked at the lock and rolled her eyes.
"Because you sneaking in would cause too much alarm if anyone sees you. I'm the shadow of the academy, no one knows me by face- or by mask, really." She pointed out. The tech-mask she had worked both as a pair of glasses and night vision goggles, but also had a built-in fan and scanner, seeing to distinguish a fake from the real thing.
She could hear Tigress huff and go back to sneaking into the camera room, which she did surprisingly quickly and also managed to knock the security men out cold.
After getting the confirmation from Tigress that all cameras were down, Basilisk had around 10 minutes to complete her task, which was too much in her opinion but no matter. The more time, the better, she thought.
She dropped down from the window, landing in a low position in the middle of the Armoury. It was completely empty and dark, the shadows playing tricks on her mind. But in the middle stood a stand, encased in glass, obviously the star of the show. Now, thanks to the light from the moon coming in through the windows, brightening the walls of the hall, she could see posters and long banners, presenting the armour for what it is. A small gasp came from her mouth when she finally read the name.
"Brunt wants us to steal this? The armour that belonged to il Gattamelata?"
"Um... who the fuck is that?" Came over from the coms. Basilisk rolled her eyes for what seemed like the hundredth time.
"Erasmo Stefano da Narni. A famous italian mercenary from the 15th century. "
The line went quiet as Basilisk admired the suit of armour... but something was off. She could feel it.
"Wait, what's a mercenary?" a confused voice came over the coms and the Serpent mentally facepalmed. She quietly explained, while picking at the locks on the glass, opening it and stuffing the armour away into her bag.
"Mercenaries were basically soldiers working for foreign countries. Say, a Spaniard working in the British Army... or An Italian working for the Germans."
Basilisk closed the glass case and locked it. Luckily she had gloves on so no finger prints would be left at the scene. She quickly hopped out of the window she came in from and ran across the rooftops, stopping when she could see the sea- then contacted Tigress.
"I have the stuff, meet me at the end of the rooftops."
There was no answer and Basilisk raised an eyebrow in confusion.
Okay that was weird.
A grunt was heard over coms and she instantly knew that Carmen Sandiego had caught up to them and thought Tigress was doing a solo mission, like always.
Well, this time she was wrong.
"Kinda busy now, but if you could get your ass over here it would be appreciated." An out of breath Tigress shouted through to Basilisk.
"Where am I gonna put the armour then? I can't fucking take it." Basilisk was not going to let Tigress ruin the mission with her inability to not be a reprehensible shit goblin.
"Leave it then." She hissed
Basilisk groaned and took out her dart gun, running towards the Palace museum and finding the location of the security room. Then she stopped abruptly when she was just outside.
As much as she despised Carmen, she was the only worthy opponent they had. Killing her would make stealing... less fun and risky.
Basilisk rolled her eyes and holstered the dart gun. She retracted her talons and turned her tech-mask on.
She entered the museum through a corridor window and heard fighting coming from one of the exhibition halls. She ran towards the sound, stopping and taking in what was going on.
Sandiego was injured, quite severely. Blood seeped through her suit and her whole face was bruised. It looked like she had long scratch marks on her back.
Basilisk saw that, even though The Red Thief was battered badly, Tigress was even worse. She was lying on the ground, struggling to get up- probably because she had a broken ankle.
The serpent entered silently through the shadows, unnoticed by the two women in front of her. The venom pulsed in her veins but she decided that it's no use attacking and taking her opponent to V.I.L.E-
Who would cause an imminent threat to them anyways? Plus, she'd much rather be challenged and take victory fairly, then outmatch all her enemies. That was boring.
She walked in, moonlight seeping through the windows since it was definitely past midnight now. The reflections created a spotlight onto her. Underneath the tech-mask, Basilisk smirked as both women noticed her.
"Oooo, what a pleasure to meet the elusive Carmen Sandiego. Allow me to introduce myself..." She bowed mockingly, never taking her eyes of La Femme Rouge. "The name's Basilisk." She stood upright and she could see that Carmen was indeed unimpressed, and raised an eyebrow at her antics.
The serpent chuckled darkly.
"My apologies. That was weird, wasn't it?"
Her façade fell and she cracked her knuckles.
"Leave Tigress alone, and i'll give you the armour..." She held up the bag, "...or suffer the consequences of my venom."
Carmen tensed at the mention of some kind of venom. Who did this person think she was? But she accepted the offer with a nod.
Basilisk smirked and went to pick up Tigress by the arm roughly, to show that she was pretty pissed. In a split second, she saw Carmen try make a move and punch her in the face. She saw it coming but she let Carmen do so, and nearly break her knuckles on her rock hard mask.
Carmen withdrew her arm and cradled it with a pained expression. Basilisk turned to her.
"Well, that was unfortunate, wasn't it? As if it'll give you the armour now that you tried to attack me."
Carmen grimaced and shrugged.
"Worth a shot, though."
They laughed and put Tigress' arm around their shoulders, carrying her away but not without saying a final word to Carmen.
"Arrivederci, Miss Sandiego. Til we meet again, right?"
If V.I.L.E wasn't going to do it, she was going to kill herself.
Basilisk activated her tech-mask and visor with a fingerprint activated button and grabbed her dart gun from her holster.
This caper had gone to shit and she needed to step in.
She let out a frustrated huff. Basilisk was stealth-centered. She didn't go out onto the field unless she really needed to. And right now, two operatives were getting thrashed by one of V.I.L.E's old students, Carmen Sandiego.
Truth be told, she's never seen the woman and she doesn't want to see her either. The faculty told her to be careful, as she's apparently the only person in the world that could beat the serpent. Basilisk just nodded but internally scoffed. Beat her? Really? That seemed impossible, giving her years of training and experience.
Her aim was on point, face and eyes were emotionless. She was built to kill and V.I.L.E said to bring the Red Thief in.
Alive or Dead.
Bit desperate, if you asked for her true opinion on it. But hey- some stuff you just gotta do.
A yell of pain echoed through her com-links and she froze. That sounded a lot like El Topo, her best friend.
If Carmen had hurt him...
She entered just like her fellow operatives had done before, through underground tunnels, and when she was inside, located the place where Carmen was fighting Le Chèvre and El Topo.
She quickly exited the V.I.L.E jet and ran to the scene of the caper.
She could hear grunts and the sound of hits coming from the main hall. Damn, Edinburgh Castle was big.
She had to run up some stairs and nearly bumped into someone.
Someone with a red coat.
Basilisk instantly kicked out and hit Carmen in the back, sending her flying to the other side of the room as if physics haven't been invented yet. The serpent smirked at her enemy's pained expression and how close she was to passing out. She looked over to the side and saw that El Topo was unconscious while Le Chevre was taking care of him. Both were badly bruised and the sight of a growing black eye on her best friends face just fuelled her burning rage more. It was like they were stuck in a growing fire, destroying everything in its path. That's how she felt like right now. And the thing on her path was the slightly less beaten up Carmen Sandiego. That just ignited the flame more.
"Basilisk."
The serpent snapped her head back to Carmen. How did she know about her?
"Look, I just wanted to talk to them." The red thief said, nodding her head over at the two operatives off at the side.
Basilisk stayed quiet and raised an eyebrow.
"I'll ignore the fact you know my codename somehow despite the limited amount of intel about me in V.I.L.E's system, only if you tell me the subject of what you wanted to discuss with them."
She could see that Carmen tensed a bit and her jaw stiffened. Was that in fear or anger? Perhaps both.
"Wouldn't you like to know." She sassed and Basilisk knew right then and there that she was definitely better than the red thief.
"Yes... that's why I'm asking? Tell me and I'll let you go with the artefact. If you don't- well then... let's not find out what happens then, shall we?" Her voice was cold and merciless, her eyes were blank from emotion. Carmen could see that she truly meant the threat and, having heard about Basilisk's abilities, didn't doubt that she indeed wouldn't hesitate to kill her.
The woman in red huffed, annoyed. "Fine. I wanted to convince them to leave V.I.L.E. There- happy?" She deadpanned.
"Very much." The serpent said with an equally deadpan tone.
"Rather stupid of you but at least you got the artefact, hm?" She pointed to the necklace hidden in her enemy's pocket. The red thief's eyes widened in surprise- how is she able to see that from so far away?
I am once again here to show another attempt of drawing your oc Florian. This time I used Ibis Paint X ( not the premium one). I hope you like it 😅.
I'm not really doing anything that has a deadline so I am doing random things at the moment. Well🤷🏽♀️ I suddenly had like a burst of energy to draw a character and well here it is.
(I'm really sorry. Florian looks like Wednesday 😭)
Ummm I also did this (If I remember correctly the song you have chosen on the post that I saw for Florian was Lay All Your Love on Me by ABBA)
If it's alright with you, I would like to draw your other oc too once I have the energy to suddenly draw again. The one with the blond hair named Florence Meadows (I'm really sorry if I got the name wrong. I have written this ask a couple of times already and I don't want to start over again😭).
...
are you bloody kidding me that's INSANEEEEEE. It does kinda look like Wednesday but dude, the hair is perfect- it's legit THE Freddie Mercury style and it's wavy, black with purple highlights. I had more of a black into purple fade at the ends in mind but this is also really cool.
ALSO THE EYES?
THE EYES ARE LEGIT LIKE I WANTED THEM TO BE?
you are so perceptive to detail and I thank you for that because his eyes are really important since he has the same eyes as his mother.
also btw it's Florence Meadowes, an -es on the end, since Florence/Florian MeadOWS is me lmao
ALSO YES LAY ALL YOUR LOVE ON ME IS HIS SONGS BECAUSE HE'S A BADASS FLIRT
AND YES PLEASE DRAW FLORENCE MEADOWES IF YOU CAN BECAUSE SHE IS MY MAIN OCCCC
btw you can see how she looks like in her PFP in @cs-operation-basilisk
purple hair, with a blonde fringe, black glasses and green eyes BUT SHE USUALLY WEARS A MASK.
She has a black suit that looks like snake scales and retractable talons, also has fangs. It has a little green V logo on it on her breast pocket and on both of her fingerless gloves. This is some additional information for you, just in case.
