A horse with a military equipment? On my blog? It’s more probable than you think!
It’s actually a very specific horse - it’s Kasztanka, a chestnut mare belonging to marshal Józef Piłsudski, who played an important role in regaining independence of Poland. Regardless of the Marshal being a controversial person, every Pole knows the name of Kasztanka - she’s easily the most recognisable horse from Polish history. Because of it (and because she was directly involved) I chose her as a topic for my CS painting named Independence Day.
In 5 days, Poland celebrates 100th anniversary of regaining independence!
Sadly, I’ll probably won’t be home to celebrate, but I’ll try to draw something more on this topic.
