@daisybrien (who I can neither tag nor reply too, thanks tumblr), I was focusing on this CS, but true, last year's was problematic. I understand them referring to South Africa as a colony, because they would have then (just as this moment in this CS with the "igloo" from "Eskimo" culture was realistic, as was Sister MJ making "gollies" in the earlier series. I actually wonder if those moments are meant to induce a sense of dissonance). Totally agree though, the white saviour thing was definitely a problem though (where did that one South African nun disappear to for the whole episode? amongst other issues in the white saviour category), and I don't think they looked at apartheid nearly hard enough.
