Just a few more hours...

One major thing jumped out to me right away, now that I know Hook is a dark one while watching. (Minor detail: she saved him from Merlin not only because she loved him but to stop him from finding out.)

Major realization:

When Hook & Emma confront each other in the woods, their dialogue takes on a whole new meaning, as does Emma’s pained look as she speaks to Hook, clearly thinking of what she did in Camelot to him.

Emma, “It doesn’t matter I’m the Dark One.”  

Just the way she says it, it seems as though she is trying to see his reaction to her as the DO.  How does he feel about it?  Does he still love her even for what she is?  

Hook, “You’re more than the dark one, you’re still you.”

Hook’s response is perfect, I feel foreshadowing the moment when he moves past his vengeance due to the DO powers surging through him and accepting what Emma did.

He will realize that the darkness doesn’t have to control him, that Emma didn’t do this out of anything but love and that he can overcome it to be the hero he has been working to become since he met her.

The look on her face when he says that shows a tiny glimpse of hope, hope that he will feel that same way if she told him what he was, hope that this won’t ruin the happy ending she is trying to hard to get to.

The journey of a lifetime, a journey that has brought much heartache, much pain, but has opened so many doors for both of them.

CaptainSwan is coming home, well after the darkness is gone and Killian is rescued from the Underworld, but home is #endgoal and we will get there CS shippers!

Henry needs to rename his current mission from “OperationLightSwan” to “OperationLightCaptainSwan”

As Snow would say, “Have hope and believe in their happy ending.”

Dark Hook’s Redemption

Episode 4x11 brought us Ingrid’s pain and her eventual death when she realized what she had done was wrong.  This quote jumped out at me:

“I am a monster, not because of my powers, but because of what they turned me into.”  

I am thinking either Emma shares this lesson with Killian but at the end, right before his death, he realizes that although he is filled with darkness, he can still redeem himself.

I am guessing we will see the same heroism from Killian when he realizes what he let the darkness do through him.

This will be why he saves Swan & the town, to overcome that darkness and redeem himself not only for what he did now with the Dark One powers but for all the years he let darkness overtake his heart.

He will let go of all of the guilt and pain that he holds for being a villain for all those years and give the ultimate sacrifice to atone for those sins.

Unlike Ingrid, Emma won’t allow for him to go to that final resting place though.  She will save him, to atone for her darkness & what she caused when she turned him into a Dark One.

Here’s to the next two weeks filled with angst, dark ones, and heroism.

These parallels are real, or just my brain trying to cope.  Either way, I find it interesting.

A Dark Ones Theory....

So I was thinking about this whole Dark Ones story line and I wonder.....

What if Hook goes dark, like really dark and isn’t fighting it.

Emma will realize more than ever she needs to get rid of the darkness, so she enlists Rumple’s help to distract Killian so she can get the sword back.

As this happens, Emma retrieves the sword and is about to cast out the darkness when the former Dark Ones remind her of the price, because there always is a price, and that price is her life to remove the darkness.  The person that defeats it is the person that must die, a fact Merlin left out.

As Emma mirrors Killian’s sacrifice from 5x08, wanting nothing more but for him to be free from the darkness she forced upon him, she prepares herself to die.

Killian, seeing and hearing this same price from the Dark Ones also in his head, snaps out of the darkness that is controlling him and just as Emma is going to remove the darkness from both of them, knocks the sword out of her hand, completes the spell and pays the price for her, dying to remove the darkness from both of them.

Emma, pissed because NO ONE SAVES HER BUT HERSELF, steals the magical beer from Merida, using it to yell at Killian.  

Of course he makes a sassy remark about preferring rum and then becomes serious.  He tells her there was no other choice but to sacrifice his life for her, his one true love, and she should live her life.  Move on with Henry in the home he chose for them, be happy, and live for him.  She demands to know he is ok, that he is happy where he is.

He tells her he found himself in some strange land (some hint to move her forward to the UW) but he is healthy.

She agrees, telling him that she loves him and will never forget him, he is her soulmate.

As he disappears, she calls David and tells them Hook is in a strange land, Snow confirms it is the Underworld because she knows Hercules and has already called him and they all pack their bags to save their dashing rapscallion.

Or something along those lines.  

I just feel Emma, being Emma, will try to make the sacrifice for Hook first, wanting to remove this burden she placed on him but Hook, being Hook, won’t allow that to happen.

Man, I love this show!
