Can’t sleep? Fight.
Part Two!
Character Pairing: Steve Rogers x OFC
Genere: Fluff,
“You know what Sargent? Cool it.”
“Maybe,” he says, stalking towards me.
He then leans over, and whispers in my ear, “Or I could just tell Steve that you like him…” I look at him, shocked.
“You wouldn’t dare!”
“Oh, yes, I would doll…”
Shit. Nodding my head, I say, “I’m going to finish stretching out my quads, and then I’ll start to do some warm-up sparring, alright?”
Nodding, he backs away from me until I have enough space to go back down to the floor and repeat the stretch on my right leg.
After finishing the stretch, I get up and go over to the bench that my duffle bag is sitting on. After taking out my water bottle and phone, I put it back and walk over to the two soldiers, who are making a set board for water training later today.
“Alright fellas, I’m ready when you are.”
Steve looks at Bucky.
“Bucky, finish the set board. I’m going to get Emily warmed up right now.”
After Bucky’s affirmative nod, we walk over to where the floor is padded.
I wrap my knuckles with the bandage that Steve seems to make appear out of nowhere and square up.
“Ready?”
“Ready.”
He comes at me, quickly, and immediately on the offensive. He goes towards my stomach with a sidekick, which I step out of. I launch a opposing side one-two counter-attack, with a hook to the left and a right-side roundhouse to his head. He catches the hook, but grabs my roundhouse, holding my foot in his hand. I decide to gauge the strength of his hold, and take the opportunity to swing up around his neck, wrapping my left around his neck and using it as leverage. After staying like that for a few seconds, he taps my leg once, then twice, signaling for me to get down. I loosen my hold and get thrown, quite suddenly on the floor, with Steve catching the fall with his body, and holding my back to his chest. He snakes his arm around my throat, and his legs on either side of me, pinning me down. I writhe around, trying everything I could think of. Elbow to the side, an upward breakaway, which worked for a second, and then failed, because his arm was now wrapped around my chest, and arms.
I stop struggling, as a sign that I was done, and he let go of me. I rolled off his body, flopping onto my back, heaving because that was beyond hard, and
“I think that was enough for the rest of the year, alright?”incredibly tiring for a so-called “warm up.”
“Doll, that was just a warm up.”
“No, I didn’t. I just had a full workout. I’m just gonna lay here for a minute,’kay?”
I closed my eyes, to convince myself that I was just gonna lay there until I had the energy to get up.

Bucky and Steve looked at each other.
“Doll, I’ve seen you fight for longer than that.”
I peeled open my eyes and glared at him. “If you don’t remember, I had a four hour Krav Maga session with Nat yesterday, and six-mile cross-country run. I think I’ve earned the right to be tired today.”
Steve scoffed. “I’ve seen you be on the run for three days, Emily. I think that you can go again.”
“That was when I was running from you guys! Y’all were chasing after me. I obviously didn’t run fast enough,” I teased while getting on my feet.
“Oh, you think you’re so funny, dontcha Emily?”
“Of course I do, I spend lots of time with Stark.”
“The doesn’t make you instantaneously funny.”
“I’ve learned from him.”
“Uh-huh.”
“Oh, hush. Which one of you will I die with next?”
Steve and Bucky look at each other.
“Fight Bucky, I need to analyze your fight style. See what we can perfect and what new things we can train you into.”
Fuck. At least Steve would be nice about beating me. Bucky would tease me until the day that hell froze over. Nodding, I grunted, and walked over to the mats, trying to match stride with the Super Solider.
Once we got over to the mats, Bucky turned around, and came close to me, and whispered, “If you beat me, I won’t tell anyone that you like Steve. Don’t beat me, and I’ll tell Clint and Tony.”
I huffed and nodded. This little shit was going to get it. It wasn’t hard to make me angry, especially when I’ve had little to no sleep.
“Alright, you asked for it, asshole.”
“Language! Stevie doesn't like that kind of language!”
“It was one time Buck,” Steve says.
“But it was one hilarious time.”
“You weren’t even there, James,” I said. He glared at me.
“What did you call me?”
“I called you James.”
“Don’t call me that.”
