I’m rambling...

I was watching episode 11x15: Targets of Obsession and I knew that when they introduced Kip, the bomb squad guy, he wasn’t going to make it. But I instantly fell in love? Then I started thinking about my canon-compliant headcanons and well... if we assume that Greg and Nick broke up sometime before season 11 or during the beginning of it I have some ideas...

(For some reason I prefer to remain as close as possible to canon-compliance. I don’t know why but that’s the way my brain works.)

So, I was thinking that maybe this break-up is new for Nick and Greg. They’ve decided to remain close friends (duh) and Nick even encourages Greg to ask out Ellen, the school teacher (disastrous 11x12: A Kiss Before Frying). But during 11x15 I got ~vibes~ between Nick and Kip. So maybe he was thinking about pursuing him and then.. well (also disastrous). 

I’m still trying to work through my 2x19: Stalker fic so I am way behind in building my headcanons. But I’m saving this thought for later.

Hello! Sorry if this is a big ask but you seem like the best Nick Stokes resource. Feel free to ignore this. I remember that at some point in the show, Nick is shown to live somewhere different than where he was living when Crane was stalking him. Or, at least, it was headcanoned as a new place. Do you have any pictures or gifs of the second home, or could you tell me which episode(s) it appears in? Thanks so much!

yes, you're right, it is a different place!

this is what he lived in during stalker, and i included the top cap as frame of reference for him getting his mail:

and while similar with the like, gated front yard, the house we see in targets of obsession (11x15) is quite different, with spaced tiles leading to the house, a garage and nick's mailbox is closer:

we don't get to see the inside of 922 rose avenue but funnily enough I feel like I always end up picturing the inside of the stalker house when writing post-stalker fic, though i usually write that there's a longer hallway that leads to his bedroom rather than what seems to be another door to the outside as we see in stalker when he's checking rooms in his house--that's just my personal headcanon of course lol but that's one of the good things about not seeing the inside, we can just make it up for our own purposes!

MK’s Favorite Post-Grave Danger Things for @letswaitforme​​ Part Four: Over the Shoulder (my commentary below)    

So fun fact that I’m sure I’ve spoken about before, and I know I’ve used that script bit in a set before, but I own a rough draft of the Grave Danger script that has some minor changes from the final cut (such as that voice over, which was Nick talking on his tape that Grissom lip reads) and something I’ve loved about it is that Nick thinks he was stupid to get kidnapped like that--first of all, the poor baby, thinking it was his fault cause he let his guard down, but second of all, I love that it seems to haunt him even past season six. Any inkling of trouble, he looks over his shoulder, out of that newfound instinct cause he’ll never be taken off guard again.
