my understanding of semi-open is having limited free slots and then you can buy more, usually for group currency. semi-open species usually go hand in hand with ARPGs

A species im in just had a suggestion for something similar. Where only a few people can win a trait unavailable to members.

Needless to say: My opinion is this:

When you make members do a prompt with a full body, plus scenic BG, then they shoild get the prize. Not some shitty "participating" prize. Worked your ass off for a special item should grant you the item.

Not a CHANCE to win. No. YOU GET THE ITEM, point blank. They worked hard afterall. They shouldnt only get some low amount of species currency that doesnt even give enough for a damn trait potion.
