Member of the Week Wednesday!!
It’s member of the week Wednesday again! And who better to feature then our president from last year, Steven London Morris!
“To me, VSA is growth, altruism, and family!”
Before his rein for the 2015-2016 academic school year, Steven was also Fundraising Chair, Northridge by Night director in 2015, and a Vietnamese Culture Night actor in 2015 and 2016! He became an official member in 2013 when the club got its reboot and he felt that VSA was very energetic and accepting of anyone new like himself, especially since he, himself, was not Vietnamese. Since then, Steven felt that much is the same. He loves that we are still energetic and have such a diverse membership. He also likes that CSUN VSA has created a space for people to really grow and create bonds.
“My dream is to be able to support myself and my family financially without ever working for someone else.”
Academically, Steven has finished school. He has since graduated from CSUN in 2016 with honors in Information Systems –Business Systems and minor in IS. At first, he didn’t have such a great start as he chose to change majors and minors numerous times until he decided with IS. He is self-employed so he managed to steadily maintain his own finances.
“Stuttering is a Disability but it’s your choice to make it a handicap.”
Outside of VSA, Steven loves to play video games, riding his bike and supporting UVSA. He loves to get drinks at Bon Bon Tea House. His favorite place on campus was the Sierra Market place. Hint hint: They make amazing pancakes! Steven considers himself to be empathetic, passionate, supportive, dedicated, and confident. When asked which super hero he would be, he said he would be the Green Lantern. #csunvsa #csunvsa2k16 #memberoftheweek (at California State University, Northridge)
