"Those of you who helped me with this decision, please, find me at the temple road before leaving for your homeland".
❝ 暗い天の烏 —
The shadows had covered him for hours now, moving from one to another fluidly, never being seen -- for he had been recorded leaving by witnesses just before the murder took place, and of course no one remembered the man who took his leave when the scream and blood had stolen all their attention.
Little did they notice him in the darkened corners, the hallways, even perhaps right behind them before he vanished once more, watching the scene unfold.
Just as he'd anticipated, everything fell into its perfect place. It hadn't even been his plan in the first place, but he would claim the aftermath as his own -- as free territory for him to curl his talons around and manipulate. It was just too opportune to let it slip by.
With the sentencing imminent, however, it was time he returned to his original objective -- for he was not the only one who took their leave at such a coincidental time.
❝It is high time you reveal what you truly are to me.❞
Swathed in darkness, his form blurred in midnight pitch, seeming to swirl like an obsidian cloak before what was once humanesque became a crow, letting out a single caw as his wings pushed the air underneath him, lifting him into the moonlit night.
You will not hide from me any longer.
{♫} ——— “ Let everybody know, sentence will be given in the ballroom as soon as this investigation ends. Those who wish to see the process should not be turned away. Also, do please find those who had aided us, and tell them to find me at the temple road when this is over. I would like to talk to all of them. That is all.”
Facts were shared with the Quartier as soon as they were available. All the questions and answers, all the suspect's reaction, everything. Lenne had not to question anyone, and she didn't wanted to. It was the first time she had faced a situation as delicate as possibly sentence anyone for their crimes. And she wanted it all over already. Once it all ended, she would have to deal her town. The people would gladly go back to normal, but their spirits would be fragile, and that needed to be taken care of. For now, the quartier would return to the ballroom, her guardians and other staff clearing the area to turn it into a courtroom of sorts. Sentence would be given where the crime was commited to add more weight to the mistake. That place were a life ended will be the same where other life will be changed forever.
"I'm starting to think that Rowan and Emerald are toying with us. Rowan has been focused on one suspect this entire time, meanwhile, Emerald has accused everyone else. There's more evidence towards Emerald and Rowan being liars too... Would it be fair to say that Emerald is the killer and Rowan will eventually be the benefactor? He's been defending her like crazy, but why? ...It's simple, if it's true, the two of them want to be in a relationship together after all of this is over."
"It would be the perfect scheme. After all, who would suspect her of doing something so disgusting? Rowan already dug her a hole by stating that she's been flirtatious with him... It's not too far-fetched, is it?"
