Rex: Hardcase! Where were you?
Hardcase: Oh! Sorry, there was this cute guy and well... I lost track of time.
Rex: Again? Did you get his name this time at least?
Hardcase: Yeah! Think his name was... Trevor?
Shadow:

Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?
He's not a character I love, but I have a soft spot for Lux Bonteri, who as far as I've seen is near-universally reviled. He has a really interesting arc across his appearances in TCW -- spoiled son of a senator who has just enough awareness of the greater galaxy to think that he knows what's what, his mad attempt at revenge on Dooku personally which ends with him teaming up with Death Watch (and how did he get mixed up with them in the first place! did he, like Maul, just stumble across them?), and he gets out of that situation and he's still like "no? I don't want to join the Republic?", and then his guerrilla stage with the Gerreras and their partisans on his homeworld, after which we know that he goes on to be Onderon's senator but don't really know what happens to him after that until he turns up twenty years later in one of the novels, which is yet another fascinating move for him, because he's a rebel but he's not a Rebel Alliance rebel, and he's not in charge, either. He's just...really interesting, and I think if he had been introduced in the show as a female character he'd be way more popular than he is now. But I still think he has one of the most interesting through-arcs in the show and I was absolutely psyched when he showed up in the novel, since until the very end his name isn't used there, so as a show person I was going through the book (well, I actually listened to it on audio) going "is that...? can it be...? it's probably an OC?" and then the REVEAL.
(book excerpt below the break, because it's a Reveal in a lesser-known novel I don't want to spoil people just because it was such a Moment for me.)
ok for real this time my bad anon
Ooblek vs Tyrian?
...that's unconventional.
Despite Oobleck's speed, we haven't seen a semblance from him, so that's a wild card right there.
But discounting that... have to call it for Tyrian. He has the speed and agility to get into Oobleck's face, where his long weapon becomes much less useful and Tyrian's much closer-range weapons come into their own. Plus, his semblance is the ultimate trump card: Tyrian can take people down in one hit, if he feels like it.
Maybe Oobleck's semblance would help even the playing field, but we're not seeing that until like Volume 13 at the earliest.
