This one was really fun, even though I ended up swapping two people’s jobs and homes. I’m afraid the hints for this puzzle will be very reminiscent of those in PL (ie kinda useless) just because of the nature of this puzzle, but give it a shot!

Puzzle 004

I think I made this one a little too hard, 26x26 with a lot of open space and ones, but I might make another, easier one another time. Save the image and put it in an app with a pen tool to give it a shot!

Rules of picross: the numbers represent how many squares are blocked in in their row or column. When there are several, for example: 1 1 2, that means there’s one block filled in somewhere, one at least one space down/to the right, and a cluster of two at least one space down/to the right of that. A tip would be to put a colored X on either side of each cluster so that you don’t accidentally add more when solving the other axis.

The blocked in squares will draw a recognizable image related to the Layton series. For hints I suppose I can PM a partially solved version of this to make it easier, but good luck if anyone actually wants to do it!

Edit: my bad, but this picross doesn’t have an actual starting point so this version is near impossible. If you want to try it please ask for the modded version!

Surreal scrolling through the Layton tag for like an hour before going downstairs to be greeted by your mom saying, “I have a riddle for you”. It feels like there’s an exclamation point and the screen pops up in real life

In Ethiopia there is a trail of tears where slaves were being marched across the desert. Their masters were giving them something along the way and that led to an indication of where the trail was that still exists today. What were the masters giving the slaves?
