16. Which one of your OCs would be the best at biology (school subject)?
18. Any OC crackships?
29. Which one of your OCs would go investigate an abandoned house at night without telling anyone they’re going?
29. Which one of your OCs would go investigate an abandoned house at night without telling anyone they’re going?
Cam for sure! He's a marine biologist :) He lives on the next planet over in the Tatoo system, where he works at an aquarium. He ends up going to college later in life, sometime after his marriage to Ember. Ember btw is very cute about hyping up his husband, he thinks Cam's the smartest guy in the galaxy.
Oh do I. You're familiar with Stormbrake/Optimus, the enemies-to-lovers of all time. Whisper/Zer0 from Borderlands are very strange about each other and tbh I support them in all things. Fury/Paz/U'Rajya/A'Hidayat is a ship that started as Fury/Paz and went on to spiral completely out of control (they have eight kids). And honestly I'm gonna count Boba/Oola for this one, because I made up almost everything about her and did some significant redesigning. I'm gonna keep it to canon/OC pairings bc otherwise this will get out of hand.
Hm, who are my haunted house people... Jude, Kestrel, or Bee would be investigating some crime they believed to have been committed there.
Racer, Fury, B Roll, Atlas, Rence, the Valkyries, Eixes Judarri, Scrapper Crew, would all go there for funsies.
Whisper, Prey Drive, Bella, Carno, Vinir, and Ripper would go to try to provoke the ghosts into fighting them.
Boom would go to video things and show he's fine and no ghosts ate him, so can the kids chill out, now?
Watcher and Shrike are there to take notes on whatever they find, like some kind of ghost anthropologist.
Cathedi is there to try to befriend the ghosts.
Hm. I've got a lot of people wandering around into haunted houses by themselves at night. Surely this couldn't go wrong!
new clone OC idea: a guy named Graffiti
Whenever there's another announcement about how defacing the GAR buildings and ships is not allowed and all graffiti must be removed from the premises, he heaves the most tired-sounding sigh and says, "All right, all right, I'm going, you didn't have to name-and-shame in front of the entire base."
His squad is very tired of him except for his boyfriend who thinks he's the funniest man alive. He can't actually draw for shit but it's cool his boyfriend is also a tattoo artist. Graffiti knows he's got his own name across the back of his shoulders (you can guess in which style) but doesn't know for a while that the dots are little hearts. He adores it when he finds out.
🎲 + Graffiti and Rence please (:
Survey says... firm kiss for the kiss roulette!
He knows the cigarettes are bad for her, but he has to admit, he loves the way she looks when she breathes the smoke out over the street.
So about the day that Graffiti and Rence leave the Coruscant Guard...
It's a bad day for a lot of people, but Graffiti tells himself that he's not worried about them. There's nothing he can do to help. Not when the Guard can't even save themselves.
He stays close to Rence instead. The clones are moving in formation as always, but also as always, nobody bothers to try to tell them apart. They can arrange themselves in whatever order they want. And he gets nervous, sometimes, about the idea of her being sent away without him. She's just as capable as he is, and the civilians are all hiding off the streets. But nobody cares about the clones except for the clones, and somehow, right now, that feels even more dangerous than normal.
"You two," Fox says. "Scout the northwest entrance."
"Yes, sir," the say in unison, and turn to jog across the courtyard to the wide stone doorway.
The Jedi temple still has lights on, but there are no shadows on the walls, or any other sign of movement. He doubts they'll find anyone inside. By now, they're killed or fled. Shame, he thinks. They only wanted to help people. Some of them, allegedly, even wanted to help the clones. He's not sure if he believes that part.
"Taking point," Rence says, and slips through the doorway, staying close to the wall.
Graffiti follows her, watching her back, and turning every so often, to check the hallway behind them. It's quiet. Every so often there's a grinding groan of rock against rock, but no noises from humanoids. He doesn't like it.
"Hold on." He doesn't need to look to know that Rence freezes in place. "You hear that?"
She shakes her head, still listening.
If the noise was real, it doesn't repeat itself. Eventually he taps the back of her shoulder, and they get moving again.
They both stop when the noise repeats, the ground under them shuddering. That can't be good.
Rence takes a step back, then another. For a moment, neither of them are sure where the noise is coming from, or which way is safe.
Then the roof buckles.
Graffiti rushes her, lowering his shoulder to hit her hard in the side, her armour taking the brunt of impact as they hit the floor. There's a sharp crack above them. Something scrapes harshly against his backplate, cracking it in half and leaving a long bloody line along his spine. Chunks of rubble hit him, some leaving bruises, others too small to do anything. One catches his ankle, but he manages to kick it off.
Rence screams, and he reaches toward the sound blindly, the dust around them bringing visibility down to zero. His hand finds her gauntlet and curls around it, holding on tight until the shaking stops.
"Hey." Even though his voice isn't steady, the vocoder smooths it to something cool and composed. "Hey, Rence. What happened? What- are you hurt?"
She doesn't answer, but her arm moves, and her hand finds his, her fingers tightening around the back of his wrist.
He drags himself up to his knees, his other hand reaching for the blaster on his belt. There's a word for that... Cave-in. Was that something a Jedi could do? He's heard all kinds of things about them.
"Rence," he repeats.
"I'm here."
Finally, the dust starts to settle, and he can see what happened. A chunk of the roof is pinning her to the floor from the knees down. It's much too large for him to move on his own.
"Commander," he comms. "The hallway caved in. I'm mobile, but Rence is stuck. We need evac."
"Negative, trooper. Proceed to objective."
They can't do that.
"But we need help-"
"Proceed to objective," the commander snaps. "Do you understand?"
"Yes, sir. Proceeding." He ends the call and crawls the rest of the way to Rence. He'll never get her out of here by himself, but there's no help to be found from the clones. He's all she's got. "Don't you worry," he says, brushing the pad of his thumb over the cheek of her helmet. "I'm not going anywhere."
He sits with his legs tucked under him, carefully manoeuvring her to lay in his lap. There's not much he can do to make the situation at all comfortable, but surely this is better than laying on the stone floor.
"You should," she says. "You have a mission."
"My mission is to protect you." He takes his helmet off and sets it to the side. The dust is settled enough that he can breathe, and there's nothing else here to be afraid of. "They might still come for us."
Her fingers tug ineffectively at the edge of her helmet, and he helps her get it off and set it next to his own. With both helmet lights on, every pebble is lit up in stark medbay-like white. And he can see, even more clearly, that there's no way out for her.
"They won't, Graf." She almost always looks tired, but this is different. This is the loss of hope. Her fingers brush against his chin. "You can still get out of here. You wanted to have that bakery."
"I wanted to have it with you. With you, that was the part that made it a dream."
She smiles at that, and even though her face is pained, she's still so beautiful.
They stay there quietly, until his comm pings again. The commander. If Graffiti's disobedience is discovered, there won't be mercy for him. Kark, they might send someone to get him, make him finish the mission. So he might as well make sure that he can stay here as long as he needs.
"Commander, we're taking fi-" He cuts the comm off in the middle of his words, and tilts his head back to stare up at the ceiling for a moment. There's a warm light up there.
"Thought you were a horrible liar," Rence says.
"Never had anything worth lying about before."
She smiles a little at that, and falls quiet.
He doesn't try to push her to talk, just brushes her curls back from her face, and keeps his hand in her hair. She always liked that. And right now, there's nothing that could tear him away.
They both tense up when they hear footsteps.
"Graf, I don't wanna be alone." For the first time, she looks scared.
He draws his blaster, aiming it at the doorway. If they think they can take him away from her, they're very much mistaken. He's the crack shot of the Guard.
It's not Corrie red that comes around the corner, but Jedi brown. He doesn't let himself feel relieved. He still aims for the heart.
"You," he snaps. The Jedi raises their hands, slowly. He can't tell if they really think he's going to shoot, or if they're trying to placate him. "You can- you Jedi, you can do things."
"Yes," they say cautiously.
"The rock." His hand trembles for a moment, and his voice breaks on the word. "Please."
"Easy." The Jedi comes closer, one cautious step at a time. They kneel next to him, their gaze moving to the slab. "What happened? I felt the rumble, but I thought it was a breaching charge."
"I don't know. The ceiling came down."
"This may hurt," the Jedi warns, seeming acutely aware that Graffiti is tracking them with his blaster. Their hands touch the stone. It lifts, easily, like it weighs a fraction of what it should.
Rence cries out, but she moves her legs, moves, and that's all that matters.
For a moment, Graffiti wonders if the stone was made of foam, but then it scrapes and crashes against the wall, and he knows that this is some Jedi magic. Which means... a Jedi saved a clone. Just like those stories. Huh.
He leans over Rence to run his hand down the length of her greaves, searching for any injuries. There's a few places with new dents and scratches, but no blood. A piece that big, it must have just been the weight keeping her down.
"You're okay," he breathes out, and kisses her hair. "You're okay."
"I'm okay," she assures him. She sits up, slowly, wincing with every new movement. "We need to get out of here."
"More of that ceiling could come down," he agrees, glancing above them again. "There might be another way out through the temple."
"There is," the Jedi says. They lower their hands, and Graffiti lowers his blaster. "I can show you."
Graffiti glances at the stone again, and back to him.
"If you get us out, we'll take you with us. We're not going back to the Guard."
"Oh, don't worry about that. There's a lot of ways in and out of this temple, if you know where to look. They won't find me. But come, this way. If you don't mind more tunnels."
"I think we'd both rather not," Graffiti says dryly, but they don't have a choice. He gets both their helmets, handing Rence's over, and setting his own over his head, the light still on. "But lead the way."
They move quickly, the Jedi ahead of them. They're bold for turning their back to a pair of clones, Graffiti thinks, but he respects them for that. For doing anything to help, when they could have disappeared into the depths of the temple.
They seem to be halfway across the temple when the Jedi stops next to a carved doorway with a mural painted inside it. At a touch, the mural dissolves into stone, and the Jedi pushes at what's left behind. It slides aside to reveal a hallway.
"Through this," the Jedi says, gesturing toward the end. "There's a ladder at the end, that leads down to some of the city's lower levels. You'll have to be careful down there. You won't be able to find the way back up."
"Thank you," Rence says.
"Thank you," Graffiti echoes, slipping his hand into hers. He has no way to express how much she means to him. What he would have done to save her.
The Jedi smiles, but there seems to be something sad to it.
"We only ever wanted to help people," they say softly. "Even now. May the Force be with you."
"And also with you," Rence answers. Her fingers lace with his, and she steps forward. He follows close behind.
When they get to the ladder, he looks back. The Jedi is still there, watching to make sure they make it out okay.
Perhaps irrationally, Graffiti hopes that the Jedi gets out of here, too.
Hi hello I am here to ask about Graffiti and Rence because I recently discovered them and fell in love <3 🎶✨🪐
omg hi
🎶 - What kind of music would/do they listen to?
He loves country music and she listens exclusively to the top 40 radio station and two-hundred-year-old operas. There are real Fights over who gets to choose the music because they don't really like each others' tastes. Literally the only thing they agree on is jazz. There's a panic button on the radio for precisely that purpose. (It's a custom built radio.)
✨ - What were they like as a cadet?
Graffiti was drawing on everything he could until he got threatened with reconditioning if he kept making a mess of Tipoca City. And then his squadmates let him draw all over them as temporary tattoos. Such individuality was allowed so he didn't get in trouble for that any more. He would use his desserts to bribe other troopers into letting him draw on them, too, when he ran out of volunteers.
Rence was a quiet, thoughtful sort. A little withdrawn and didn't have a lot of friends. There was a lot that she was figuring out about herself, and the world, and it took her a while to have an answer for some things. (This did not include the gender crisis which she only got after meeting Graffiti, which he thinks is kinda funny). She was always a little anxious, still is, but she's more self-confident and curious now that she's got her own life.
🪐 - What planet would they most like to visit/Which is their favorite that they've been on?
They've only been deployed to Coruscant so it's all they know. Rence is fine with that - she loves the big city and all it entails - but Graffiti wants to visit other places. Maybe some of those farmlands or ranches stretching to the horizon, that the cowboys sing about with such love...
For Shiny Squad, Graffiti, Rence and Kit:
Someone they care for is upset, how do they cheer them up?
What is the one thing they wish to experience in their life more than anything?
How good are they with giving directions?
What is their opinion about swans?
Someone they care for is upset, how do they cheer them up?
Lucky: He sits and talks with them and encourages them to talk about whatever is bothering them. Or he can show them cool videos to distract them from their emotions! They can cry on him, too, if they want to.
Shrike: He's bringing them something they like as a gift and that's about it. He's not great at comforting but he's observant and he knows what works for people.
Carno: He is going to find someone with emotional lieracy to handle that. He's not good at these things and is not attempting to change. He's probably finding Lucky if at all possible.
Graffiti: He's bringing them some warm fresh-baked desserts and maybe a blanket out of the dryer. He's not great at listening but he can nod and say mm-hm every so often.
Rence: Cuddling and other physical affection. Snuggle up to them and listen to them and offer to shoot whoever is bothering them. If it helps, it helps!
Kit: He's fussing over them, very concerned about how they're feeling. He asks them how to help and does his best to do whatever they said would be best. He's a sunshine boy at heart.
What is the one thing they wish to experience in their life more than anything?
Lucky: He wants to be a femboy sooo badly, there's nothing prettier than lolita fashion.
Shrike: Seeing a shrike in real life, or winning a video game tournament.
Carno: Go back to training on Kamino and get perfect score in every stage. He was always good but he wants to be the best.
Graffiti: He wants to be able to do a big mural that people look at and say is amazing. He thinks he's a good artist and he wants to be appreciated for it!
Rence: First, tits. Second, husband playing with tits.
Kit: He wants to go camping with his family and see something really special like an eclipse or a leucistic deer.
How good are they with giving directions?
Lucky: He can give vague directions but there's going to be a few steps missing.
Shrike: Very methodical. Street names at the minimum. If he knows the area well enough, it's full on 'left on Main Street, 27 steps, turn right on Aldera Avenue'.
Carno: Cardinal directions only. 'Turn seventeen degrees southwest' which is something that most other people simply do not care to understand.
Graffiti: Very much based on local landmarks. Slight left at the Senate, hard right at Dex's, straight till the Chancellor Arch, down three levels to the Golden Tree hologram, straight ahead and you can't miss it.
Rence: "Uhhh HEY BABE. How do ya get to so-and-so? It's two lefts and a right, yeah?"
Kit: Very helpful, polite, concise instructions. He offers to escort them to make sure they get there.
What is their opinion about swans?
Lucky: They're sooo pretty and they're sooo romantic and they mate for life and he loves them so much. When he gets married, he wants the ceremony to be by the swan lake.
Shrike: Not his favourite bird but they're perfectly acceptable. He keeps a respectful distance and videoed Carno getting his ass beat.
Carno: One of them ran at him honking and he got in a fight with it. It did not end well for him but that's mostly because Lucky was yelling at him to not hurt it.
Graffiti: He's never seen one but he's heard stories about their fighting prowess, so he's fine not seeing them. He doesn't want to get an up-close look at something with tongue and teeth like that.
Rence: She thinks someone should throw one into the Senate, just to see what happens. She doesn't want to be anywhere near when that happens because they kind of scare her. They're pretty though!
Kit: He thinks they're very pretty but he learned not to get close from seeing Carno. That was an enjoyable experience and he rewatches the video whenever Carno annoys him.
What are somethings that U'Rajya, Kit, Graffiti and Rence would refuse to ever touch/go near to?
ALSO
whomst? >:U
omg hi <3
U'Rajya does not gel with large bodies of water. That is completely unnatural, no thank you. Also this is just me projecting on characters again but like, caf all the way. They have no idea how to make tea in a way that actually tastes like something. No leaf water for them, thank you. They also get really annoyed with gritty textures because have you ever tried to get sand out of your clothes? Impossible and deeply annoying.
Kit will get into anything. He has no fear. The only thing that makes him think twice are space anacondas because he binged the movies once and decided they were scary. He likes littler snakes, though, he picks up the small ones to move them out of the road.
Graffiti hates oily things because that's just an awful texture. Evil. And it never comes off??? He's also particular about the brand of liquid soap he uses because some of them are oily also and he Dislikes that nonsense. Anything that leaves a film on his hands is a bad texture.
Rence has deep opinions about some bread that Graffiti likes making with a dough consistency of like. Oobleck. He'll chase her around with the pan before he puts it in the oven and she has some rather impressive parkour moves. She also has deep opinions about velvet. Completely unnecessary fabric.
And Hop is getting adopted by the Aces, which I am... sorry to say, they are a band of lunatics. But Ember is a marine biologist, Racer would love to have another sister, and Whisper is a confirmed frog-chaser, so I think Hop would have fun with them!
Ember is also married to another marine biologist, so like, twice the nerdery! They had a meetcute at an aquarium and I love that for them tbh <3 He's also a very gentle and kind person, and a medic, so he's good at making friends and can take care of any injuries that happen in the pursuit of Knowledge.
Racer is chaos incarnate. She microwaves batteries and sets cars on fire for fun. She is not a good role model. But she is a very fun friend if one can resist the impulse to try to rein her in, because that just makes her worse.
Whisper doesn't, like, talk to people or any of that nonsense that would make ner seem like a regular human being, but ne would dump frogs in Hop's hand and walk away immediately, so that's close enough. Right? They're probably never going to exchange more than five words but unlimited supply of random Frog is better than words.
